I'm in the same boat as you... I've been wearing weaves and extensions for a while, but recently I decided to go natural, and let my hair actually grow. I've been taking biotin and folic acid every day and I've noticed a HUGE difference! Also, coconut oil was recommended to me- it definitely helps! The oil penetrates the hair strand and helps repair and prevent split ends from the inside :) Make sure to wash it out properly though. Sorry if this was a little long, I'm so passionate about hair haha!

Here's how I grew mine past my waist: don't use heat (once or twice for an event is ok, but always use heat protectant), try to go 3-4 days without washing your hair (your natural oils are the best for your hair so brush them through the length of your hair), use a leave in conditioner or hair mask once a week, massage your scalp when shampooing to stimulate blood cells (use your fingertips, not your nails), and use morocan argon oil on the ends.

Don't take biotin unless you talk to your doctor. if you don't need it, it won't do anything for you. also, don't use mane n tail. it doesn't make your hair longer. kitty k has said many times before that it's not ph balanced for human hair. stay away from it. if you have more questions you should ask her. she does a lot of research.
