Anyway, I say yay! I've seen such amazing looks with black lipstick lately (especially since it seems to be making a huge comeback lately & I love the way it looks. Especially on girls like model, Felice Fawn. She pulls it off amazingly & it looks beautiful!

I say YAY but with most highly daring colors I go by guideline. A. like someone said, plan ur attire accordingly you don't wanna come off as random, B. I apply dark colors depending on the season. I think Black is perfect for fall. And C. if it looks amazing on u, go ahead. I don't see why not

Absolutely- Yay. It's a great look for night time. Generally if/when people judge you for a daring makeup/fashion choice it's because they don't have the balls to try it. I cannot tell you how many times, for my lipstick in particular, people have commented on how bright or bold of a color it is. They almost always say something like "I could never pull that off" or "I don't know how you can wear that." My answer is always, "Oh, thank you!" Several times I've seen the same people who said something wearing something similar to what they commented on after the fact. Inspire people, be a trend setter. If people don't like it, they don't have to wear it!

Black stick was my staple in high school and I still love it. I say if you want to wear it go for it. Don't worry about what others will think of you. If it makes you happy and more confident then why not?!

I agree with the Cyber suggestion. It's less harsh but has the edgy effect. The tone makes a huge difference; some black lipsticks are just flat & harsh. It's the "look" you want, not just to say--yeah I wear black lipstick!

I think that should be a supper yay. I totally agree that people who will judge you just don't have the balls to do the same. I work with kids and I wear gray, purple, ultra red and yes, even black lipstick. Go for it. If you could find something close to matte, in my opinion, you would create something even more beautiful and that would not scare haters, muahaha.

My rule for clothes and make up is: if it was too immature/ goth-y/ whatever-adjective-you-have... you wouldn't want to wear it! My "however" though, as all the before posted comments: exercise a balance to make it look chic :) post a photo online for us after!

personally think its a good look for special occasions, has to kinda match otherwise it can look scary and disgusting (not an everyday look)

and just to boost ur confidence I ordered the Armour Beauty Lip Gloss in Femme Fatale (black) I am gonna work my way gradually to a black. And I love the pic you posted. I very clean look. Minimal makeup with the intense black lip is very couture and high end. I intend to wear it with slick back ponytail and menswear inspired clothing. I think the OVERALL look is what is gonna make it either amazing or tacky!

The confidence u hold will let you wear whatever lipstick you want. If u arent ready for full on black, try a really dark purple or really dark burgundy first, or mix it with black!

Yes yes yes! I adore black lipstick! There are so many great ones to choose from too! You just have to remember to check it throughout the day, since it can get messy! Also, a reverse lip-liner is your friend for preventing that dark color from migrating all over your face. Definitely get one of those if you're going to be rocking your black all day long! (Favorite black lips: Portland Black Lipstick Company, OCC Lip Tar, Illamasqua, Armour Beauty)
