I have been taking doxy for almost nine weeks now for my cystic acne and it has done nothing but make my skin worse the whole time. My doctor told me it would take up to six weeks so I've been waiting but still nothing :( I'm considering stopping it but it's been so long already that I don't want to give up. Has anyone else tried this medicine and had a similar experience? Anything helps! Thanks.

Lizzy I was on it as well and it made my cystic acne worse as well. I only taught well maybe she's trying to run my insurance by making my face worse which would lead to more follow ups with her so I stopped going on my own. started to drink more water and got on proactiv +. most ppl say proactiv is bad but it has changed my life. honestly.

I was on minocycline (similar antibiotic) and it helped tremendously! I only had to stop because I started turning grey (weird side effect). I'm sorry it isn't working for you! Definitely go back to your dermatologist and find a different option.

Get off of it asap. 9 weeks is a long enough trial period.

9 weeks should have provided results. I'd return to a derm.
