If your trying to do a smokey eye try a more lighter shade in the inner of your eye like a nude color or even white or silver depending oh what colors you want to use then you can do a second color in the middle which will be a bit darker then at then end do a darker color like a black for example, or any dark color you like.

You got the gradient effect right, the blending is flawless! The only suggestion I'd make is to use darker colors, in order to give it more of a true smokey look. Try deep brown eyeshadow next time :)

That look that you did now if a perfect look for a day to day cuz there's not to much going on but if your looking for more of a dressy up going out kinda look I'd go a little darker :)

Well, only if you like it! I mean I definitely think this looks good, it's just very light to be considered a smokey eye. But I'm sure Miss Jackie will have some amazing advice for you :)

What jolynn am is suggesting isnt technically considered a smokey eye but it is a nice way to apply eyeshadow:) (I do this often).
Anyways I think your smokey eye looks nice but I agree with Hannah W and think you should try using darker colors:)

I totally understand, I took her advice for a formal about a month ago and I loved the result! She really does do an amazing job of explaining things.

My son is going to be 7 months on the 11 so right now I'm on his schedule not mine lol I'm starting to practice at night but I sometimes get sleepy so do a half as job lol.

About wet eyeshadow, I don't think that would work, BUT you could try applying your eyeshadow dry, blending, and then adding wet black shadow where you feel it isn't dark enough. Does that make sense? And I totally understand the baby schedule. It gets better, I promise!

Or wet brown shadow, if you're doing a brown smokey :)
