It's very good especially if you have oily skin

I had really oily skin and after a while of using this product it dried out my sick so I had to stop using it.

I love it. I have normal skin and usually an exfoliator/face wash with a lot of harsh chemicals makes my skin go nuts, so I stick with it and neutrogena naturals.

The bits and pieces of the apricot scrub is actually not good for your skin. it causes micro tears on your skin because the grinds from the seed isnt round enough.

I'm going to admit physically it feels amazing but in the long run.. think for yourself

It controls my blemishes and my skin freaks out less when I use it. I think the instructions recommend to use it 3-4 times a week but imo 1-2 is more than enough.

It didn't work for me, I loved the feeling of the fresh clean feeling, but it made my skin so dry and patchy :( but it probably just depends on skin, since all of the girls above me have had good results :)

I feel like it really sucks that its us the teenagers who are sold on these products. and during our teen years its actually really important to properly take care of our skin. even if youre not a teen.. if I were any of you I'd toss that st ives scrub out the damn window!
youre seeing good results now because its probably one of the first exfloliators youve tried and because you can really feel it.. it makes you think its actually working. it is working actually but its also causing micro tears in your skin.

I've heard of it, but I have no desire to try it. I make my own scrubs. It's cheaper and no chemicals. I can also control how much exfoliation I want by choosing different ingredients with less or more abrasion depending on what my skin decides to do lol

Youre not going to see those micro tears in your skin now but in the long run lets say 3-5 years later youre really going to see your skin wearing and tearing durastically because of the micro tears youve caused by using this product. is it worth it? obviously not.. there are better products out there. youre safe using a salicylic cleanser than the st ives scrub and its even more beneficial. exfloliant doesn't have to be physical (something you can feel) in order for your skin to be exfloliate it.

Your skin is worth more than a $3 scrub *giggles* ;)

I hate it...it was way too harsh on my skin. I have sensitive skin so that may be why

I agree completely! Tried it once, but it wreaked havoc on my sensitive skin! While I admit it did make the surface of my skin feel smooth, after reading the review on the Paula's Choice website (http://www.paulaschoice.com/beautypedia-skin-care-reviews/by-brand/st-ives/Fresh-Skin/_/Apricot-Scrub-Invigorating-for-All-Skin-Types) I was fully put off. These types of scrubs are SO harsh and really are not the best way to exfoliate. I'll stick to non-abrasive AHA chemical exfoliant's, thank you!

Even if you have a more resilient skin texture its still bad for your skin. stay away :)

clarasonic is actually a really good technology for cleaning your face and exfloliating even if you don't use it everyday it takes off enough layers of stratum corneum so products can do what they claim to do. helps products penetrate deeper into the skin. best investment you could ever make for your skin

I love this scrub - any form of exfoliating causesic microabrasians - its what gets the dry skin off. It's ok to use as long as its only once or twice a month. During the winter my skin gets dry and sensitive so I prefer the st ives green tea scrub. It's much less abrasive and personal one of my faves (its also much less abrasive)

It made my skin extremely dry and patchy after awhile. And now I'm paying for it. It made my skin so flaky too and I can't find any moisturizer to help it.

What exfoliating product do yall recommend then? I use the scrub but ever since hearing about the micro tears I stopped using it on my face. So now I need a new exfoliant lol

I use this daily scrub by neutragena that's made for your face. The beads are super round and the scrub feels really soft on your face.

Skin heals the micro tears though. And the damage would mean greater cell turnover so less obvious facial scarring from acne? It can't be worse than getting chemical peels and stuff though which destroy layers of skin.

Personally I love it, definitely sooo bad for your skin because of how rough it is, always like to change it up abit with the st Ives green tea as it is a little gentler on the skin, sometimes they both can be quite drying but it definitely gets rid of blemishes just don't roughly scrub it all over your face, and you should be right!

I reccomend the daily micro exfloliant from dermalogica. it comes in powder form and you just manipulate it with water and its safe to use it everyday. I personally use that at night. or the skin prep scrub also from dermalogica it feels something like the st ives apricot scrub but this one doesn't cause tears b.c the beads are round.

but I actually highly believe that every one should try the clarasonic because the vibration of the bristles actually vibrates deep into our dermis and plumps up the cells. as we get older these cells starts to get flat and giving it some vibration will plump it up. also it helps exfloliate your stratum corneum more than any physical scrub would. so when you use your anti aging or acne products itll penetrate deeper into the skin and do what its suppose to do easier. and that way you save your money in the long run, see great results and also use less product.

Stratum corneum are a layer of dead cells.. like a barrier to protect what's inside our skin
