Has anyone, or do any of you personally know someone that has worked as an esthetician at Ulta? An opening has popped up in my area, and would love to apply. What sort of experience did you/they have? What exactly are your responsibilities? Their job description isn't too descriptive. :p
Thanks!

I interviewed for an esti position at an Ulta that recently opened in my area and I ended up turning it down. I am a managing esthetician with a little over a year experience in a Spa. The newer Ulta's have what's called a pod that the estheticians do their facials in and it's out on the sales floor so its not quiet or private. I thought it was strange so I preferred to stay at the Spa I was in that I had a private, quiet room. Plus, only the Benefit Brow bar did waxing unless one of the girls wasn't there that day. I wasn't feeling some of their strange rules, etc. They may not all be like that but this one only required the esti to do facials, makeup, and microdermabrasions. I like to do those services, but I like to do everything else as well. It's limiting. They use Dermalogica which is a plus, I like their products. Overall, I just wasn't feeling it. Again, it may be different in your area or a good place to start out?
