Wear it like a cardigan, wear it untucked over jeans, wear it tucked into a pencil skirt, wear it with jean shorts (tucked or untucked). Leave the top few buttons unbuttoned, and maybe wear a tank top underneath it with some of those suggestions. For shoes, go with combat boots, flats, sandals, flat boots, high heels...anything. In fact I literally can't think of a way to wear that shirt that IS preppy. But maybe that's because my personal style is getting in the way.

My suggestion is from head to toe... Whimsical hair style with fish tale braid or loose braid...black dull leather skinny jean... Edgy gold accessories to offset the preppy look... Let shirt hang loosely if its a tighter fit... If not tuck in a sassy pencil skirt still with the same edgy gold accessories I would finish this looks off with maybe blk frame nerd glasses? If you're going with shirt out I would go with more of a nude makeup look you're going with the pencil skirt I would go for a bold red lip for shoes... I'd most definitely for the first look go for more of a I'd say a boot with gold accents not really quite sure? maybe the pencil skirt I will go for more of a chunkier high heel (black ) but either way I could see a chunky high heel for both looks it's really up to you good luck hope this helps
