Just wondering what everyone thinks a good percentage to tip your manicurist is. I usually go with 20-25% and I know its kinda high but I love the people I go to lol.

Fit just a manicure I do 5 bucks but for anything more I go up to 10.

It's not like other services that are usually 15%

I tip based on the result.
10% if I hate it & it turned out terribly, & 25%-30% if I love it!
I'm a waitress so I too pretty high usually, lol.

Carolyn, I have acrylic nails and I get a fill in every 4 weeks which cost $30. So it's not so great... lol. I guess I need to start tipping more!

Lol they're always hooking it up for me I got acrylics ans shelac for 30$ so I tipped both people 20% but I'm always super happy with them. I've only neglected to tip at one salon where the man was a total a**hole lol

I always tip at least 20% for any services, beauty or otherwise. But I will tip more to round out a number (usually go up to the next $10 denomination-including the cost of the service) or if I love the service they provided =)

I never tip because they already include the tip in the price! Lol. Unless they do like a really good job then I'll totally tip. But most of the time they rush through my nails & I have to end up paying double. Since I'll go to another salon to get them fixed. It's sooo annoying.

It just depends on how it looks at the end, when they are finshed with it. I am a very hard person on this, if it dosent wow me, then they lost a customer.

I always get a no chip Mani and a higher-grade pedi every 2 to 3 weeks. If the same person does both, I tip $20. If one does pedi and another Mani..$10 each. I do this because they are very thorough.. know me well and what I like..and because I watch them get $3 repeatedly. It's usually the same manicurist and I like to go when he is there. Be good to those who take care of you with quality and service, but factor in how much work is involved and their professionalism when tipping. If it's simple..you can't go wrong with 20%,
