I use Mac Brush Cleanser right after I use my brushes, and Elf Brush Shampoo weekly for more thorough cleaning. :)

I mix a couple drops of dishwashing liquid (preferably dawn), a tablespoon of peroxide, and warm water. I swirl my brush in the solution and then rinse under lukewarm water until it runs clear :)

I use detergent and olive oil. Detergent will disinfect/clean, olive oil will protect the brush hairs :)

As a makeup artist I don't feel comfortable washing my brushes with anything but parian spirit. Removes even the most difficult waterproof gel liner or OCC lip tars, and comes with a neat little jar which protects the brush hairs and dries super fast when on set.

I use "the masters" brush cleanser &preserver when I have it around, otherwise cosmetic brush cleansers or baby shampoo will suffice. I started using "the masters" brush cleaner &preserver when I saw how amazing they worked on my incredibly expensive paint brushes and it works just as well on my makeup brushes.

Rules of makeup artistry
You must be sanitary at ALL TIMES especially if your working on people besides yourself germs bacteria and diseases are spread when you don't disinfect your hands brushes and your makeup.
I reccomend cleaning your brushes with Sonia kashuk brush cleanser. Then use a clean towel or napkin to have and with that you will spray alcohol on each and every brush to ensure it is 100 percent clean use your brush guards to keep them in place and shaped and let them dry. For quick in between clients use Mac brush cleaning for spot cleaning but wash your brushes every day to prevent breakouts germs and diseases.
