I have a sock bun doughnut thing but when I try to do it properly, the bun looks huge or too messy. I have medium length hair but it's thick and frizzy. How do I make it look good?!

Could you post a pic of your hair in the sock bun just so I could see it?

You can try doing it while your hair is a bit wet and maybe it will work that way.

Also I know it's a lot of work but maybe straighten it before to tame it.

I love sock buns they are such a good style for when your hairs getting greasy and you don't want people to see it, it took me about two months to learn how to do a sock bun and my hairs quite short so you just have to keep working on it and try different ways of doing it, there are heaps of ways of doing it on YouTube and eventually I figured out a way that works perfectly with my hair but most of the time I use 2-3 bobby pins to hold it down
