Wear your hair up! Rather in braids, ponytail, or bun
And quarantine your fabricbthings that have contacted things that have contacted the lice for rather 3 days for the lice to die, or 2 weeks for the nits to die then wash the items. Just washing the items will NOT kill or get rid of the lice completely.

Wash your hair, bedding, any clothing you've worn in the past couple if weeks now! Don't waste time with drugstore lice killer shampoo. It sucks and it kills your hair. Soak your hair in olive oil and sleep with it in a shower cap overnight. In the morning completely comb through your hair with a fine tooth comb. Do this for a week. Best of luck!

Btw it's nothing to be embarrassed about, lice like clean heads. I remember I was sooo embarrassed about it when I got them at summer camp.

Ask your doctor for a shampoo made for lice it should get it out and also you should make sure you don't give it to anyone make sure while you have lice you shouldn't hug anyone so they don't get it.

They cannot live for longer than 30 minutes underwater so maybe put your hair in water for just over 30 mins
