I want to buy myself one or two things from MAC, but I have no clue what to splurge on. Help? Thanks,

The Paint Pots make for great primers for your eyeshadows and also when used alone they look great as well. The lipsticks are a hit and miss depending on the finish. I tend find those with a shimmer to be drying on the lips but I just solve that by applying a lip balm before application. The brushes are awesome. I suggest the #217 brush for blending. Hands down if you can only afford one brush that is the one to get. I haven't been to peachy keen on the limited releases....some just seem to lack pigmentation but I did fall for "Call Me Bubbles". A four shadow compact that I actually love ( I didn't have much luck in the past with their limited editions eyeshadow palettes). The blushes are of good quality though I would start out with a neutral shade that is buildable if this is your first MAC purchase ever. I hope this helps.

Get some of the Extra Dimension shadows that are coming out Thursday!! They're awesome! Google for shades =)

Just stating my opinion here but I don't think any. Why not buy something better quality like stila or e.l.f? (: You get more for less.

Mineral skiN finish powder and mac fix plus i wud suggest.

I second the mineral skin finish and fix+! The Matchmaster foundation is also nice. It's so easy to get overwhelmed inside of Mac! Just make sure you go to a MAC store and not the counter in Macy's because chances are they don't know what's going on or what's what at least that's my experience with  them.

I consider myself a MAC snob!! I have other brands that I used before I was able to afford MAc and I have alot of things that I love now that are not MAC, but I say when starting out the best thing to do is like Lee Ann B. suggested go to a MAC store and get their professional help also allow them to apply the products on your face so like for me when I first went to a MAC store I purchased eyeshadow and lip liner and a lip glass and the fluidline eyeliner in Blacktrack and they did my face for me and explianed what they were doing and showed me the use of each one of the products includidng eyeshadow because I bought a mixture of veluxe shadow and matte and matte^2 and I have been hooked every since and that was about 10 yrs ago I wouldnt buy any product that u are not familiar with like the fix+ or the paint pots unless u are 100% sure how to use them and incorporate them into your current beauty regimen and their foundation def but make sure u get the foundation that fits in ur needs example: alot of ppl use the studio fix but myself I use the prolong wear and the mineralized skin finish just because I need to wear a look for more than 8hrs most days but when u go ask alot of questions and get what makes sense if u wanna try other things u can always go back

You're paying for quality! Try out the paint pots because they are AMAZINGLY pigmented + stay put for a LONG time! I suggest "Bare Naked" or "Painterly." Also, the MAC Fluidline in Black Track is a GREAT gel liner and it goes on smoothly. Another thing I suggest is the Mineralized Skinfinish in "Soft & Gentle." It's a great highlighter and so far I've seen it work beautifully on all types of skin tones. Those are my top babies! Play around with the eye shadows, lip glosses, and lipsticks in the store and I'm sure you'll find a color you love. :)

Brushes and their Matte^2 eyeshadows! There aren't many in the Matte^2 line, but the blendability of those matte shadows are like buttah'! If only MAC would make ALL of their shadows with that type of consistency in texture, but at least the addition of those to your collection will expand the amount of looks you can do by tenfold.  =]

I would say the lipsticks and glosses, Pro Longwear concealer and Studio Fix powder plus foundation! :)
