Ok, name calling is completely unnecessary. It doesn't really matter what any of us think, the rules are the rules and 13 is the magic number. Complain as you want, but those are the rules.

Ya @Hope I have to be 17 to date, buy my own phone (circumstances might be different if we had service) and buy my own car no allowance we still have chores and I'm not complaining about no allowance and chores but it annoys me when parents let their kids do what they want and still give them allowance and stuff. Just my opinion I guess. I have to help out around the ranch to get to go to sleepovers and stuff. Lol!

I think that, kids should wear makeup when they feel it's necessary I don't and think that it's okay, kids want to grow up these days because older kids make it look fun, all the tv shows and magazines are saying that you need to look like this and all that, it's not easy being youeng in this day in age, I'm 13 and think that some kids act older than they should but not everyone, we should watch out for stereotypes on here, not everyone kid is like that
What bugs me is when like 6 year olds have bras like that baby fat

And what that girl said about youeng girls wearing bikinis what's wrong with that I've had one since I was 3, I don't think they make you inappropriate as long as they cover everything, it's much worse to see a girl who accualy has something under there to be showing it all of

Who honestly cares what you think. If young girls want to be on here obviously make up interests them... So what?! They have questions... Everyone does!

I don't think its right to screenshot that girl and put her on blast. Now thats childish. & just mean.

Delaney I said young girls posting pictures asking about bathing suits they should wear/ buy... As Erin said the age limit is 13 so I think that sums everything up.

I don't like when people are generalized in one category not all young kids act grown some are very wise and mature for their age and don't partake in most of the things listed here. But also comes the fact that the other half do and the advice given is to please rethink your choices because as you get older there's a chance you will look back and regret them. That being said why argue over a thread about this when it goes nowhere? You all have to agree that both sides of the argument showed some truth. My take on this is girls who are young 13-14 if you feel what your doing is right go for it. if your wearing minimal makeup to feel confident go for it. But in the process of that learn to love yourself and not have to rely on something to feel confident. You guys are beautiful! Enjoy your youth while you have it don't grow up to fast mentally untill you have to or if its necessary. Everyone is different so its sorta hard to generalize people in a category :/ I just think the generation will always evolve and there's no stopping it but if you have your own outlook on things you can be your own generation!

How are older teens supposed to know what type of makeup they like and what there style is if they don't experiment a little, you can't experiment when you are 15 or whatever, you will get made fun of, you need to do it when you are 13-15 or on the weekends.

I don't wear makeup but I experiment every now and than.

I completely agree they are growing up way to fast! When I was there age I was playin sports and barbies and didn't know all of this stuff about makeup or play dress up with my sisters ha it's sad you don't want to miss out in your childhood. I wanted to grow up so fast when I was like 13 and now I wish I would of enjoyed or had my childhood back longer

This thread is getting a little crazy. It started off with just saying young kids shouldn't be on here.. And now it's about teens wearing makeup. In my opinion, tweens shouldn't be here. 13 and older is mature enough for this content. I agree with Megan that screen shotting a picture was very rude. You can get in soo much trouble for doing that. And also saying things about her is very childish. Yes the things she did weren't the best. But who are you to judge? Unless you're perfect, then you can judge. But no one is perfect and I suggest you delete your comment and that picture. As far as teens wearing makeup, I don't think they should until 13. But if you're younger and like makeup, go for it. I don't support it but I'm no one to say it's wrong.

I'm 16 and I'm a professional actress/singer/dancer, I work at theaters in my area so I have to wear a BUTT LOAD of makeup 6 days a week (only at night and for matinees) and the customers always ask me if I studied acting in college and what not.. So that shows wearing makeup just causes girls to mature faster and a lot of times it can result poorly in young girls.

Okay, according to the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, the legal age limit (everywhere) to participate on websites like this is 13. Please, if you see someone younger than that flag their profile for their safety.
When this website started it was mainly for professionals or older teens heading down the path of professionals. It's not for young children to get advice, that should be between them and trusted adults or their own peers.
Are some more mature than others? Maybe. But they are still legally children, and therefore are not legally allowed on public forums.

I agree, I have a sister who is twelve years younger than me and I just cry when she learns something new. she's almost seven and is extremely girly. she loves playing dress up and all that but I've seen kids younger than her with all these gadgets and stuff and its ridiculous. kids grow up a lot faster than we did. my parents have said its harder for them now a little because there's such a difference in times from when my brother and I were little versus her.

Omg no is saying you young girls (10-13)can't wear makeup we're just saying don't go overboard with a full face of makeup its okay to experiment with a little lip gloss and eyeshadow but nothing too overboard... nothing to get so upset about you want to continue wearing makeup you can were just saying little girls have their face piled up with a lot of makeup doesn't look good.
