What is your favorite to use?

Liquid and pencil are my go to liners for daily looks. I've yet to use cream, but I do like gel liners when I want a more colorful or "artsy" look.

I love all three differently but equally, I guess? Haha. They have separate jobs, at least to me, and I can't choose just one I favorite most. I use cream/gel liner to apply on my lid or upper lash line. I use liquid liner for either the same job as gel liner or to help create more dramatic looks, like cat eyes or double-winged liner. I use pencils on my bottom lash line or for tight-lining.

liquid and gel I always use gel on my upper water line at the base of the lashes to make them look fuller and then if i do a cat eye i use gel to line it and then go over it with liquid liner.

I bounce around between gel and pencil for everyday use. Gel has to be my absolute favorite since its a piece of cake for me to use. It doesn't smudge at all during Florida summer weather. Though I will use a pencil on my lower lash line.

I LOVE gel liners, especially the Maybelline Eye Studio-- I even like it better than MAC fluidlines. It lasts forever and has great pigmentation. I use this on my waterline and it stays all day.

liquid and pencils for sure. Id imagine that gelliner is easier to work with on other people.. but i find it hard to work with on myself.

I would say all, but pencil and liquid are my go- tos. It took me awhile to master liquid, but once you get your stroke down, its pretty easy- muscle memory. Liquid makes lovely cat eyes. I love pencil because its versatile- I've done nice cat-eyes with a stiffer pencil, and also smudged the cat-eye/smokey eye if the pencil has a creamier consistency. I love creating the simplest smoky eye by smudging around the eye, and setting with a corresponding powder shadow. With gel, I constantly heard rave reviews. When I first got into more professional makeup, I eagerly made a quick purchase on my first Sephora trip- a black Stila Smudgepot. When I got around to using it, it was getting a little dry and hard to work with, and my coarse pencil/smudge brush wasn't helping it any. Now I use my lovely Sephora Holiday 2012 blockbuster makeup kit equipped with 6 gel liners in varying colors. The black gel liner is very easy to apply with a bent liner brush with a pointy tip- ELF has one that has a bent tip and relatively ergonomic handle. Perfect for cat eyes. The other colors I plan to wear on the top lid, maybe with a neutral shadow to play off the pop of color, or as creme bases for diff. eye shadows to stick to. My smudgepot has finally decided to behave for me- I smear/dab what I accumulate on my finger with a light press into the pot. The one I got is pretty black, and the amount of the product is OK, the packaging makes it seem more hefty/more product. I love it now that I understand I can use it for other than what I intended. Sorry for the rant! <3

gel and pencil all the way. gel liners last forever on my eyes, while pencils are awesome to smudge out to give an awesome smokey eye :)

i use a kohl pencil on my water line because its the most creamy and dark! but for top i prefer liquid because it makes a nice really dark dramatic line... but i wear glasses so its hard for me to make a perfect line! haha

Do I really have to pick? I use all 3! =P
Gel for special occasions or long days...
Pencil for softer smokey looks...
Liquid for on-the-go "omg, I have 10 min to get to work" days...
