Bare Minerals And Cystic Acne?!

Omg I feel like I have been doing everything for my skin care routine to help improve it, I even tried switching to all natural products and I feel like that has made it WORSE which does not make any sense to me! Now I am starting to realize could it be my Bare minerals?! It kind of made sense from when I started using it to when the break outs occurred but I'm not sure! Someone please help! Has this happened to anyone? I feel like maybe I should try another mineral powder and see what happens? I feel like a foundation would make my acne worse.

I use Garnier BB cream and I have sensitive skin /oily skin and that one does not make me break out.

I hate to hear that because I was so happy with all of the commercials and whatnot about Bare minerals but I really think it is the problem, do you know of any make up that won't cause break outs Erin?

Try Clinique acne solutions liquid foundation. My friend had really bad acne and she said that this product helped her acne calm down.

Mineral make up was recommended for me because I had acne prone skin but I did find Bare Minerals broke me out. I switched to an oil free foundation now and that isn't half as bad surprisingly. But it could as be due to the fact I've also started using the Clarisonic as well. I'd think an oil free tinted moisturizer could work as well for you or the suggested BB or CC creams.

Try cover fx mineral foundation. It's a fuller coverage and made with all natural products. The line is practically organic and was made by dermatologists. I'm using it now and it has improved my acne immensely just because I don't cake on makeup and clog my pores.

With mineral skin care and makeup, just because the minerals are good for the earth doesn't mean they are for our skin. A BB or CC cream are a good way to go. Boscia has a BB cream and instead of Beauty Balm their original one is actually a Blemish Balm. Helps heal, soothe, and cover. If not that Dr. Jart+ just made a Detox BB cream!

If by cystic acne you mean ingrown hairs that get infected beneath the flesh..then swell and are painful...then you should see a derm. They are caused by s bacteria within the body...and worsened by external elements. They can put you on a low dose Retinol regimen and sometimes prescribe low dose cyclines. Many people's bodies no longer create the bacteria after a period of antibiotic use. Exfoliation and avoiding pore-clogging parabens in both face creams and foundations...along with a tea tree face wash and gentle moisturizer are a great place to start.

I found bare minerals made me break out too.. not sure why but it gave me horrible acne I found natural more organic products work great for me I stick to brands like the "yes to tomatoes" line Alba botanica and Mario badescu all great products that have helped me whenever I try a new makeup product that breaks me out I stop using stick to my clinique cover Fx and tarte brands that are great for sensitive acne prone skin and whatever breakout I had usually subsides

I found a lot of those kind of products broke me out after doing research online I found out the in the ingredients any starting with a c followed my a number ( an example c112) are terrible for your skin even more in acne pron skin. Start looking at what ingredients your putting on your skin

Hey love! I used Bare minerals and it totally broke me and my sister out causing painful breakouts. It's something in the mineral makeup that made us breakout! Try using an avocado mask from freeman (you can buy it at Walgreens or CVS, rite aid). I currently now use BB Creams and use Cetaphil as my cleanser + moisturizer. The BB cream I'm using is by Garnier which I love. I'm sorry this happened to you too! It has to be an ingredient in that makeup! You aren't the only one! My sister has the same issue n she uses Serious skin care for cleansing products which has helped extremely!n uses honey n tea tree oil to strink pores.Also zinc,vitamins n melons extracts help.Bare minerals is really good but can b expensive.

Bb creams are primer moisturizer tint/foundation and spf all in one bottle they are great for simple 1 step makeup.
