I just recently dyed my hair a deep burgundy/maroon color. I heard it's good to rinse it with cool water in the shower to help preserve color. Is this true? Any other tips? It's my first time using this color lol. Thanks! :)

A color like that will fade very fast, so any washing in general will probably fade the color. I'd look into finding a very gentle shampoo and I'd look into a good dry shampoo so you can spread out the time between washings. Good luck :)

That's a good idea, I'll probably try to find a sulfate free shampoo thanks!

Reda are the fastest to fade so yes not only rinse with cold but wash with cold too.

You can try getting the riveting reds shampoo and conditioner and Sally's beauty supply. It's tinted red and so it helps minimize color fading. Other than that I would also suggest washing your hair with cold water. (:

Use a color protecting shampoo that's sulfate free, ion makes an awesome one and use the roux refresh mask in burgandy every few washes to freshen up the color, both items are at sallys! use cold water while washing your hair and washing it less will help and use dry shampoo inbetween washes!
