I always comment in the "Photo" section when I see someone has posted something that isn't theirs, linking to the original. I've had people steal my (legally licensed) art before (not makeup) and it was a total pain to deal with. I really don't understand what motivates people to steal images. I think the rise of Pintrist, where one person could pin a photo without credit then suddenly hundreds of people can pin it, has contributed to this phenomenon significantly. It's an uphill battle for sure.

I agree with most of you but if you really disagree with it just report don't just moan about it. It's boring there's more things to worry about than someone lieing. People lie everyday of there life's they've obviously just got there own issue that need to be sorted. (Trying not to sound harsh but it's my view on this)

I've openly questioned a few folks about their supposed work. Those that I questioned all of sudden disappeared never to be seen again. I cannot stand anyone who claims work that isnt theirs. And those that complain its rude to voice names of guilty party...have someone steal something you worked hard on and you'll think otherwise.

It's the Internet it will happen. Even if it was on your own website it would still happen. If it gets that bad it would get to the point of not being able to post your work but then again that's the worst thing

I agree Aleighnna. Especially if you are losing money because of their theft. When I mentioned earlier that people had been stealing my art, they were selling it. Not only did they take credit for my work (intellectual property theft, violation of license) they were profiting from it. I had to jump through hoops to get it shut down. Just because it is the internet, doesn't mean that we should allow criminals to stomp all over us.

What does it matter who steals what? Ok it's rude to steal something and make it yours but instead of talking about them in a post why don't you take it to a higher power and do something about it or just let karma catch up to them. All of you are saying it's illegal but I don't see anybody doing anything about it but complain how it's rude and illegal and call people out. Either fix the problem or stop getting so damn
