I say the best thing is to moisturize your air often, do as much protective styles as you can. I personally like buns and updo. Also I like to use Jojoba oil to retain moisture without oil built up or weighting the hair down.

Also try to stay away from heat: blow dry, flat iron etc.

Hope it helps. :)

Silk pillow cases/sheets will help prevent further breakage, and try taking vitamin supplements to promote hair growth! Good luck.

As important as it is to keep your hair moisturized, hair growth actually starts from the INSIDE, since once hair is grown out it's actually considered dead. Making sure you have a healthy diet will really help in healthy hair growth! Also, head massages will increase blood circulation in your scalp so that's definitely a plus for your tresses. =) I have been growing my hair out since 2008 and I make sure to use alcohol-free serums/styling products to preserve my colored hair and keep it from drying out.

I use a product called pine tar by Bronner bros. My hair did the same exact thing when i colored it. It has begin to grow back quite nicely. Also Jamaican black castor oil is good for hair growth. Keep your scalp stimulated as blood flow to the scalp will help hair grow also. Good luck!

no more color for a while, trim your broken edges, conditioner under a heating cap weekly and moisture with shea butter, jojoboa or coconut oils. also no heat and hairstyles that have very little manipulation

I don't know if you can get it in the US, but I've been using Lee Stafford's treatment "For Hair That Never Grows Past A Certain Length". It nourishes the hair and scalp to promote faster growth and healthier hair. Some people's hair has grown faster as a result and others not, I guess it depends on your hair type, but it definitely made my chemically damaged hair A LOT softer.

Hi Dakota If you want to start a little high end you can go joico or phytology but if you are going to be doing it regularly you can do hair mayonaise, shea butter line, carols daughter. I also use a deep conditoner by the name "la bomba" (I know) I get at the beauty supply store or sabila. When I had relaxed hair and I went to go get a blowout these were used. stay away from silicones or dimethone if possible. or stick to old fashioned hot oil treatments. also take 1000mg of evening primrose oil 3x daily this has omegas 3 and helps prevent hair loss. I'm older so i need this more but for younger ladies it can reduce shedding as well. biotin not as effective

oka, so is joico or phytology conditioners??

yes joico and phyto are hair care lines that have really good deep conditioners I think the hair mayo is buy african organics. I got a sample of wen in my glam bag this is what i thought: if you are cowashing your hair and doing wash and go during the week wen is great. you will notice how soft and good you hair feels right after .Pro. Con: you have to use a lot of product to co wash and for some ppl the silicone in the shampoo will make hair dry. If you use a lot of products on your hair it wont get it clean. Also some ppl allergic to the menthol in some formulas and experienced hair loss. get a sample or buy a little btl when the go on sale on qvc

Carol's daughter shampoo and mask. You get 98% less breakage after one use. I promise you this is the best stuff ever! It not only conditions amazingly, it smells like heaven!! is sulfate free and price wise it won't break the bank.

To grow my hair I take biotin & I keep my hair cleaned & very moisturized. I wash my hair twice a week. One day I co-wash my hair (washing your hair with just conditioner) & the other I deep condition my hair & I mix my natural oils into it, let it sit in my hair for over an hour then proceed to wash it out using shampoo followed by conditioner. I use castor oil on my scalp after washing it. I keep my ends trimmed & I rarely put heat in my hair. Everyone's hair is different, you have to find out what works best for you.

You should check on ulovemegz on youtube. She has videos up of her hair journey throughout the past 3 years. I got my hair journey start by watching her.

alright, ial have to try that!
Can you get that jut at simple store??

NO HEAT!! That's the best I've had.!! :D

Yes. I got my biotin at Target. When I co-wash my hair I usually use a cheap conditoner like Suave or VO-5 & those are no more than 2 dollars at Walgreens. I got my natural oils at my local beauty supply store. But GNC sells them too.

It may sound like a lot but its not. Once you get a hair regimen going on it comes second nature.
