Putting Eyeliner On Water Line

No matter how much i try to do this I cant :( I have used elf's waterproof glitter eye liner nothing and i am not sure if i can use liquid liner there. How do u guys get liner on ur water line
? Is there a special technique or something that I am missing.

Liquid liner doesnt work on my water line, and I've never put glitter liner there before but my friend said it irritates her skin. Gel works the best for water line, and tight lining, for me atleast :) More subtle look, just use pencil. I use Urban Decay 24/7 or CoverGirl pencil :) And I agree with @Nichole. Pat your waterline, so the liner will "stick" to it better.

does anyone use a white/nude eyeliner to line your water line? If so, do you have any recs on what brand to buy? I'm using an drugstore brand, think it's covergirl? but it does not stay on my water line. It's frustrating!

I prefer to use Kohl on my waterline. It's really easy to apply and doesn't bleed into your eye. Gel/creams are a really good option too.

Kohl or gel liner usually last on my water line and then I still set with a coordinating shadow. This prevents it from fading or smudging (on me).

Elf's glitter liner may not be the best option for a waterline liner, the glitter could irritate your eyes if it gets in them. Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On pencils work amazingly, and it's always best to set the liner with a matte black shadow. :)

@Bee: IMO, nude is better. Stila Kajal in Topaz, Illamasqua Medium Pencil in Vow (now available at Sephora in the US), or MAC Chromographic Pencil in NC15/NW20.

@Nikisha: Glitter liner on waterline = big no-no. Liquid eyeliner = same. Try a gel eyeliner (Inglot's supposedly is better on the waterline as it dries faster). For pencil, I like Prestige Total Intensity; the black one doesn't move at all. (Milan Liquif'eye is another good drugstore alternative.)

use gel liner its thicker so it wont run as easily and last longer and also pat dry your water line too. i also like to do it after my mascara for some reason it seems to stay on longer

Eep! Put that glitter liner down and never use them on your waterline ever again! You can cause damage to your eyes and you only have the one pair for life... don't damage what you have, especially since you have GORGEOUS eyes! =)

Gel liners and kohl liners work best for the waterline. I use MAC's fluidline or MUFE Aqua gel liner, and if I'm in the mood for pencil lining, I use MUFE's Aqua pencil liner. Check them out if you can, and don't forget - setting your liner with black eyeshadow on top helps seal the deal and makes it last hours longer! Hope this helps!  =D

The BEST for you waterlines is L'Oreal's HIP Black eyeliner pencil. Not the stuff with the shimmers in it but it is fantastic. I've been using it ever since it came out. It is hard to find though so be patient!

I use Urban Decay 24/7 Pencil in Zero when i want my waterline black. But ive also used avon, rimmel, estee lauder eye liners. I dont recommend using glitter eye liners.

i dry my water line first gently with a Qtip then use a kohl liner preferably one without glitter try the milani liquify

never ever put liquid eyeliner on your water line. always use pencil! it can really damage your eye when getting liquid liner on your water line..by having liquid liner there when you close your eye the liquid eyeliner can come off into your eye and really hurts..stick to pencil eyeliner on your water line and liquid eyeliner for your top eyeliner!

I prefer the khol on the waterline especially like MAC khol power or UD 24/7
