I have never used sunless tanners before, but I'm in an intense summer school program and it looks like the best way to get that glow. I bought the St. Tropez starter kit which includes an applicator mitt, exfoliant, moisturiser, and self tanning mousse. I am so scared to put this on my face!! I need all the tips and tricks I can get that will allow me to do it right the first time. Help!!

Defiantly use gloves. Post before and after pics. I'd love to see the results. :)

I find latex gloves harder to use than a tanning mitt, you should definitely buy one of those, makes it glide on so much easier and quicker and eliminates streaks, sometimes I find gloves get a bit 'sticky' with product and it's harder to rub in properly. Before tanning you should always shave at least 24 hours in advance to stop the product sticking in your follicles and looking nasty! Exfoliate then also and moisturise the night before applying your tan, then apply more moisturiser to dry areas (heels, knees, elbows etc) about 10 mins before you actually apply the product :) happy tanning! X.

There are some fantastic and meticulously detailed threads on this subject you can find via a search on Beautylish. Gen B. did an outstanding step by step for achieving the perfect tan.
