I have the biggest problem with wearing lipstick. No matter what I do, my lips eventually get dry and start to peel. So embarrassing! I tried using M.A.C's lip conditioner but that doesn't work. Any suggestions?

I have the same problem! It's so annoying... I just bought Bepanthen's lip balm but it doesn't work and I've read so many good reviews of it... : O

I have tried raw shea butter, vaseline, lip balm, all that good stuff :/ None of it works with the lipstick. They work if I don't apply lipstick on top. (sigh)

@Keri I saw one on here called a sugar scrub. I am going to try that to see if it makes a difference. Here is the link http://www.beautylish.com/v/rpqrjw/sugarscrub2wmv

^ a sugar scrub will totally make a difference. the thing is that any lip balm or moisturizer, even at its most intense will not remove the dead skin cells from your lips that are causing the chapped look and the dryness. try the sugar scrub to exfoliate your lips and then apply your balm. makes all the difference!

Drinking an insane amount of water + Burt Bees, I promise this will work, you won't even need to exfoliate as much.

I use my regular (homemade) body scrub on my lips once or twice a week and it's amazing! There is olive oil in it, so it exfoliates and moisturizes too. Here is the recipe:
2 1/2 cups sugar (I use white sugar, it makes a fairly coarse scrub. if you want a gentler scrub you can sub some of the white sugar for brown sugar)
1/2 cup olive oil
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp vanilla extract
Store in an airtight jar-I use a mason jar, this fills it veryyy full, and smells wonderful and it's soo great for your skin--and lips! :)

Anything with alcohol and/or menthol is not good for your lips. It doesn't heal chapped lips, you'll just keep using it more and more. I always read the ingredients to see if it has that. I use Burt's Bees and it works great! If not, then I use Vaseline.

this may sound abit strange but if you just put your normal lip balm on and then get a toothbrush and go in circular motions all over your lips you will have amazing lips in no time:)
