I've tried numerous times to get my hair highlighted blonde.. I always say I want it to be white blonde because EVERY time I get it done it turns out very yellow streaks.
Should I try a few times before I should expect a brighter blonde? The usual routine is me caving in and getting my hair highlighted, ends up being yellow, and then that results in me buying brown box dye to get rid of the awful yellow color.
I just thought that with the right color my hair should be able to pick up that white blonde on the first attempt. I have yet to find a stylist I like either so maybe that's my issue.
Currently, my hair is a medium brown, it's been that way for about 3 months now, I'm going to do whatever it takes this time to get my hair the blonde I want because I am not happy with this color.
Helppppppppp! xo

Clairol's Born blonde is a decent drugstore brand hair dye, depending on the current color of your hair it might be orangey but you can always use blue toner after you highlight on those areas and if thats still not white enough... bleach and tone again. Its a rough process on your hair so make sure to take good care of your hair before you do any of this and especially for the first few days. Try to avoid heat, do some deep conditioning and try to limit your hair washing. Look into a uv hair protector to help maintain the color as well. Hope this helps, good luck!

Because your hair has been previously lightened and coloured, I would actually go to a stylist and get it done professionally. Your hair is already pretty processed under all that colour.
Did you use toner? If you got your hair to a pale yellow (like the inside of a banana peel) and used a purple or blue toner, you would get platinum. Bleach will only lighten your hair to about 3 shades lighter, so depending on your medium brown colour, you may have to bleach twice to get pale yellow.

Get the wella dye from sallys it makes an awsome toner and take the brassiness out and make it blonde not yellow!

I agree with Heather and Laura. Go to a salon, get it done professionally.

Use a violet toner, and use toner shampoo and conditioner. You can get it at sally's
