Your hair doesn't act the same when you're on your period. My hair, and my mothers and aunts, acts out of control and doesn't style right.

The reason you can't dye your hair on your period is hormonal, it will react with the dye differently same as when your pregnant.

As a hairstylist of 12 years I will tell you that you CAN dye your hair while your on your period. Also, you can color your hair while pregnant. hormones have nothing to do with that myth. years and years ago color was a lot more abrasive and had a lot more chemicals in it. doctors didn't want women around tthe fumes. so ladies...color away...rag or knocked up...it won't make a difference.

We can do anything we want when menstruating. Limitations are typically personal. For example some might not feel up to working out. It's not that every woman shouldn't workout. So go do your nails, rock climb, take a bath, dye your hair. Enjoy being a woman! @KellyV said it perfectly about color.

I've dyed my hair a countless number of times whilst on my period, and I've had no ill-effects, discolourations or anything, so that's not true..
