Today was my first day of cosmotology school and I waited for this day for months! I was so excited but after today I feel nervous and doubtful of myself like I won't be very good at cutting or that ill bomb all my test...I'm a little over whelmed..did anyone else feel this way in the beginning? how did you deal with it? did it get better?

Hi Catherine! I'm pretty sure anyone who has been through cos school has felt this same feeling at some point at another. I know I did, especially when I found out we would be doing customer service days in the first few weeks! Don't worry though, you will get it! This is all new to you and can be very overwhelming at times, but it really will get better, I promise. :) If you ever feel like you can't get something, make someone aware of it! Your instructors are there to help you, not make you feel inferior. You've got this girl. Don't let it get you down!

I feel the exact same way. I'm a high school senior and I plan on going to cosmo school after graduation. I specialize in makeup, and I've only done makeup on myself my whole life. The other day I did my mother's makeup and it was SO difficult. It's so much different doing things on other people vs. yourself. I'm afraid of having unhappy or uncomfortable clients :-(
