This is hard. I would recommend a professionals opinion or seeing someone in a salon because maybe they can give the best advice and maybe help you out. And maybe use a good shampoo. I am not sure more moisture would be good. But I could be wrong.

Sometimes if your skin is lacking moisture it will overcompensate and become extra oily. Have you tried dry shampoo? That's a good way to help keep your hair feeling clean and soft between washes. Otherwise, maybe try putting more moisture in your hair and see if it balances out. Maybe use a good hair mask? I use coconut oil on my hair and completely saturate it from root to tip, let it in there for as long as I can (at least half an hour, but you can sleep on it as well) and then make sure and wash it out real good. To be quite frank, coconut oil solves all my problems when it comes to hair and skin and whatnot. Haha.

I have the same problem. When I went to my dermatologist he told me it was extra oil that was being produced because I washed my hair so often and that it really wasn't dry at all. He also said I had sebbhoreic (sp?) dermatitis. Neutrogena makes a shampoo specifically for it and it's helped a lot!

Try using sulfate and silicone free products like argan oil from pro naturals...your scalp could be over compensating for lack of moisture.
