I don't want to go completely natural but I want my hair to grow if thats possible.
I have already began doing less perms and a lot less heat but I don't know where to go from there! I have box braids right now but I need advice for when I take them out.
I am looking for products as well as routines that will help!
Please be specific as well as try to keep in mind the I won't be going natural! Thank you in advance ;)

Going natural doesn't necessarily mean your hair will b long..
it really depends on your hair type/curl pattern..
also keep in mind depending on your hair type going too long btwn touchups will actually cause more breakage as the relaxed hair is so delicate in comparison to your natural hair.
I find washing often (every five to 7 days).
deep conditioning every time you wash.
minimal heat (I only use heat items when I wash my hair. in between I use wrapping. pin curling..n rollers)
and keeping those split ends trimmed
are all major parts of getting your hair to go.
in addition a good diet. healthy fats. vitamins will all help you grow some luscious locks.. ;-)

I'm still taking prenatals but I don't really think they make my hair grow. I just told myself I'd keep taking them since I plan to have more children. but I've always had long hair.
you need natural oils. vitamins A&D, vitamin e. I take cod liver oil tabs to get those. plus it helps with immune help.. (I love that stuff).
n addition. depending on your hair type braids are not a good idea for relaxed hair. your strands have been abnormally straightened. when you bend the strands they pop. when you have natural hair the conform to the coil of the braid.. if you're really tryna grow your hair. deep conditioning n minimal heat is the way to go.
now I have a couple of friends who's hair is so strong they do get braids n sewins n have minimal hair loss considering. but overall braids are not a good idea for relaxed hair.
I hope this helps. let me know how you progress.. :-)

Give your scalp a massage every day for 10 minutes and flip your head upside down for about 2 minutes to get the blood circulating around the follicles. Eat eggs and poultry for protein, your hair is protein so it requires it to grow. Drink plenty of water to hydrate and eat plenty almonds, fish and dark green vegetables. Biotin also helps, and check your iron intake too. And make sure to maintain the health and moisture of your hair using hydrating hair masks, like the Moroccan argan oil hair mask from Pro Naturals, that helps a lot!
