@Erin, yes I was reading your mind.
I think I buy in spurts too.. n after you get some key things you really want you can let the rest go by..
@Shelley. yeah $43 bucks for lipstick is a lot. tale that back!.. I want to try tom ford but its $49 so I don't have it. lol.
my limit is $15-$20.. on a regular.. if I can get the shade in a nyx then I do..
@ grace, you do you with that mascara. yes you need volume +length!. we do not expect you to choose. lol.
for mascara I'm old school. I stick to maybelline.. and I'm very happy with it. I was n the MAC store last wk n the MUA was giving me complements on my lashes so I'm sticking to it. lol..
@Traci, I'm guilty for collecting pinks.. I thought about you earlier. do you have any MAC sheen supreme?. you would like the shade behave yourself. lol..

I was just thinking about this yesterday! Lol everyone tells me I have too much makeup and I don't really give a crap! I buy my makeup with my hard earned money so I don't think people have a right to judge. As for the multiple makeup dupes I have a lot of similar lippies but there's always a difference in texture and how long lasting they are! I don't see myself stopping this addiction any time soon ;)

Shelley do you have the previous ones?.
I really want the too faced pretty rebel pallet n some tarte sets. I think that may b my fall treat..
you go Selina!!.. I agree with the difference n color n texture. completely get that!.

Yes, I have the first one though my MIL uses it more than I do. She thinks the second one looks very similar to the first. Good for me because then I won't have to worry about her "borrowing" it.

Hey makeup artist girls - Is it true what someone said, that mascaras should be thrown out after only 3 month? And if so - why do they have such a short using time?
Sep 24, 2013
Patricia P.
Because it collects bacteria unless you are using a disposable wand each time. Plus after 3 months most of them dry out. All depends on the brand. Some do last longer than 3 months in which case its ok to keep a little longer. 6 months max

Damn I have had some of mine much longer, and I have never experienced that they dried out :/

@ Sabrina, yeah, you're supp to toss them.. you're eye area is very sensitive n prone to bacteria. you want to b very careful with the eye area..I look at it like, my eye sight is worth a lot more than the price of this mascara. lol. also b very careful with eyeshadow. store it n a dry place. steamy bathrooms aren't the spot. n keep them clean.
@Jacqueline.. you mentioned Edward Bess before and I looked it up! that pallet is absolutely fab! they had it at bloomingdales n sephora online.. its sooo pretty. I'm trying to justify the price to myself.. lol. its $75 right?. I'm assuming you use the lippies n love em.
speaking of lippies. do you gals like the too faced lipstick?.. it swatches really sticky. I love the colors tho. is it sticky n gooey??
@ Shelley, yeah, you should prob get the new one if mom has taken over the old one. lol..

You can never have too much of a good thing but I personally use one foundation mascara eyeliner etc.but I have a lot of eye shadow and lipstick in a variety of colours. I work hard so why not :)

@Naomi...I found that whenever I bought Too Faced lippies they would go bad super quick. Start smelling/tasting rancid after 6 months. And I'm a clean freak when it comes to my make-up. I wipe down my lipsticks and powder products with a alcohol mix solution as to not create a bacteria firestorm. I have MAC lipsticks that are three years old and they still look/smell/taste just fine.

I'm the same way.. I'm constantly cleaning products right after use..I'm anal about that (I even wipe down my shampoo bottles after I wash my hair. lol).
I'll stay away from too faced lippie because I won't use it that fast. 6months won't work. ill stick to my MAC n clinique. :-).. n try the Nars n UD lippies. lol. thank a lot for that info!.
