Please help! I have the worst hormonal acne. I don't even get regular acne, just cysts around my cheeks and jaw area! I have tried literally everything and realized it has been because of my hormones! I eat healthy as well and drink plenty of water! I am currently taking loestrogin 24fe but I think I should switch to another pill to help.

Hi Nicole,

There are different hormones in each family of pills. Some are higher in estrogen and some are higher in progesterone. If the loestrogin isn't working for you, it doesn't hurt to talk to your doctor and try one in a different family. Also keep in mind with these types of things take at least 3 months to see results from.

But to assure you further, the type of acne and location you are describing does sound hormonal so good luck in finding the results you're looking for!  xo

Thank you so much Alicia! Is loestrogin higher in estrogen or progesterone? I'm guessing it's lower in estrogin? Lol but I'm not really sure

Hey Melissa! I am not familiar with that name. Is it birth control or some type of medication?

Hi nicole. I have tried bc pills for acne. It does clear up the skin but when I stop the pills. Sadly the pimples came back stronger and angrier than ever. lol. Have you went to consult the dermatologist? there are actually pills for hormonal acne which is I think different from bc pills? I recently went to a derm and best decision made ever. Used their products and I'm on their medication as well. and my skin is clearing up. try consulting a derm maybe then decide. <3.
