I think it really depends on what I want to do with the product, for exemple if I'm going for a bright look, pigments are definitely better, but as you said it can get everywhere . For an "everyday look" something I would wear to work for exemple, I would much rather use pressed powders just because I won't have the time to be extra careful with loose pigments . I hope it answers your question :)
