Meh, I don't really go out of my way to buy cruelty free. If a brand is, it's a plus, but it's just not an issue that I'm really passionate about. I eat meat, I wear leather, I'm fine with animal testing for pharmaceuticals...I just thin it would be hypocritical for me to get all intense about cruelty free when I don't personally have an ethical problem with those other things. Just my opinion, but good for all of you for standing for something you care about!

I wouldn't go as far as to say that I don't care, but like Alice, it's just a plus if my products are cruelty free. I don't go out of my way to buy only cruelty free stuff. I buy whatever works best for me, cruelty free or not.

I'm agree with Alice. I was raised on a farm where we slaughtered our own animals and went hunting frequently. I wear leather, I own furs that I skinned myself from animals I that hunted and ate. I support animal testing for medical purposes, and for certain cosmetics tests where there are no viable non-animal alternatives (allergy testing for instance). Every ingredient used in cosmetics today was tested on animals at some point in it's history.

Regarding Europe's "ban on animal testing": this is a total sham. All this legislation does is limit consumer choice by removing perfectly safe products from store shelves, raise prices for citizens who now have to buy products from overseas, encourages domestic companies to raise prices due to reduced competition, and reduce free trade for cosmetics or personal care manufacturers. It doesn't ban ingredients tested on animals for other purposes, or tests for which there are no non-animal alternatives. This law only hurts the rights of consumers, not the companies that test on animals.

It's not that you don't care but when I buy a product in just not conscious about it. But when I know they are cruelty free I am happy.

I care, I love animals. But I'm guilty of buying companies that test on animals, I think most of us feel bad thinking or hearing about it, but don't think about what we're picking up. Also, for me personally it would be so hard start going cruelty free, because I can't help but want all the other companies' products! But I give major credit to people who are cruelty free, good for you guys!

It's a bonus if my products are cruelty free, but I'm not going to go search for some specifically for that reason. If they work for me, they work. I feel like this feed is a little pointless. I could easily flip this around and criticize (not saying you are) other people for going out of their way for cruelty free products, and have an argument the opposite of this one. I just feel like everybody is trying to shove their opinions at other people. Maybe we should all just accept what other people think and do, and just worry about us? :) Go on with your cruelty free self, girl. :) 💙

As a high school student I usually stray from only buying cruelty free brands (damn you falsies mascara!!), but I do my best to try and stick to cruelty free brands! :) I must say, it's much easier to get vegetarian foods than it is to always buy cruelty free makeup!

I personally had no idea about animal cruelty and cosmetic testing until this post - I googled it and am disgusted and found this on PETAs website - hopefully this helps you!
