Do you have medication? When you get out of shower air dry or pat lightly then add Aquaphor or Eucerin they are both sister products but Aquaphor is thicker with a Vaseline texture. My son has it and the doc recommended it and the shower routine, also make sure you have a mild soap or body wash like Aveeno or dove.

. I had the same problem and I went to my dermatologist and he said to take long warm (not hot) baths. After the bath he prescribed medicated ointments to put on the affected areas, then spread a thick moisturizing cream over top to seal in the moisture. (I use CeraVe) I got amazing results right away!! If you can't get the medication, try just doing the bath and the thick cream after and see if it works! If not, I would see a dermatologist!

Also...apply Vitamin E and wrap the area in saran wrap overnight. That will trap moisture and aid in keeping creams or oils on the skin for maximum absorbtion. You will see softening quickly. All of the ladies gave excellent recommendations and products in my view. I urge you to ultimately see a dermatologist.

Avoid scented moisturisers, as they tend to irritate more. I personally prefer using a little E45, not much though, on the affected area.. I know it's hard, but try not to scratch! x

Oh my gosh, I have eczema All over my legs and I use hydrocortisone to help soothe it and it'll go away in a month or so, I think you have to have a prescription though, but you could still look for it at any drugstore.

I have struggled with eczema & so far coconut oil has been very helpful. Also, mixing olive oil & baking soda to lightly exfoliate & dab rosehip oil on it afterwards. I have also sea buck thorn oil is good but, I have not tried it yet. It seems to be harder to find in the health food stores. I also started drinking aloe & super greens. It helps from the inside out...or at least in my mind it does ;)
