I had that too but mine was on my forehead and upper lip, so hard to conceal upper lip nothing worked.. Melisma is usually on both sides of the face and same area, I'm guessing you have it on the other side too? There are lightening creams that help lighten it but if you are preg or just had a baby I wouldn't recommend it.. Melasma usually occurs in pregnant or post preg women and if your on hormonal pills like certain birth control..

Btw happened twice after pregnancy.. First time wa on my upper lip and around the eyes like a raccoon :( and took about a year n a half- 2 yeas to go away.. Sec time after preg was on y forehead and sides of my eyes and took about a year to go away.. Wear lots of sunscreen and the sun makes t worse.

Hmm, some people get it from the sun ( not sunburn) ,you should buy some kind of heavy sun protection face cream.

I had small patches on my cheeks after an illness. My derm gave me 2 light peels and Totally gone. Poof! That was 3 years ago and they nevah returned. Yeh...I'm a huge peel fan...when done by professionals and in moderation.
