Alright ladies. I'm fed up. I've been in search of a hg concealer to cover my very bad hereditary dark under eye circles. I've had no luck. Please give me suggestions.
Here is what I've tried and why it wasn't hg worthy:
Bobbi Brown corrector and concealer- creases badly no matter what I do eye cream or powder wise. I currently still use the corrector because its the best I've found, but I have to smooth bad creases several times a day. And it needs something else layered on top of it.
Mac ProLongwear- faded on me? I don't get a long lasting wear with it. And the coverage is only okay.
Mac the cream one in a pot- holy creases. Bad bad.
Makeup forever hd- I do like this one, it didnt crease as bad as the others. And the coverage was okay but natural looking. But it fades! Bad!
Tarte maracuja ceaseless- had high hopes. It looks and covers lovely when first applied, but creases and cakes pretty badly.
Maybelline age rewind- pretty decent, but the coverage is not high enough for me, and when layered it creases/cakes. I've tried both the corrector and brightener version.
Maybelline lumi- I usually wear this over bb corrector and I like the effect, but it's awful for creasing.
Just to note I've also tried all possible combinations of the above, varying amounts of product, with and without powder, with and without eye cream. And recently with smashbox undereye primer, which seems to help a tiny bit.
Why can't I just find a concealer that covers, doesn't crease, doesn't fade, doesn't cake, and lasts all day? Is that too much to ask for?!
Any suggestions would be appreciated. And thanks for reading if you've made it this far!

Garnier fructis' s roll-on kind is long lasting and works pretty well for me. Doesn't cake, although you have to blend it in when you first put it on. I like that it has caffeine in it, does feel like it wakes my eyes up a bit.

Oh and I also hear that kat von d tattoo concealer is good too, can't wait to try.

Oh! And Garniers anti dark circle roller. I'm actually surprised by the coverage, but it's not quite enough and does need to be layered. And it creases. Apparently I have wrinkles.

Thanks sharifa- glad to know I'm not the only one. I've tried erase paste and was so disappointed. I need more than one layer for coverage, but any more than that really creases on me. I hope it works for you! I'd really like to try the kat Von d one as well.

Asha,
Man oh man...I agree with the above ladies - every recommendation I would think of next you would then mention. The ones I did not see you mention which are good (with a corrector, glad you like Bobbi Brown's - I do too. Also Inglot and MUFE) are:
Amazing Cosmetics Amazing Concealer
Make Up For Ever Full Cover Concealer (lasts way longer than the HD)
Kat Von D Tattoo Concealer
Inglot Concealer
Another trick is to apply it pretty thick and let it warm into the skin before blending. This helps both with longevity and having it not fall into the lines.
Hope you find something that helps and works soon! Have you tried an eye cream that promotes circulation by the way? I know nothing can correct hereditary dark circles but it can sometimes help!
Good luck!

Alicia- thanks for the suggestions! I really want to try amazing cosmetics, but my sephora doesn't carry them so I'm afraid to order online! Haha. Also- do you know of any creams that help with circulation? I think that might help me.

I can probably help you pick out a shade if you want to send me a picture of yourself (I looked on your profile and only saw an [ADORABLE] baby). Send it to alicia@beautylish.com. I worked at Sephora HQ for some time and am very familiar with the line.
As for eye creams I have to say my favorite would be Peter Thomas Roth Power K Eye Rescue, but Korres Quercetin & Oak AntiAgeing AntiWrinkle Eye Cream is a close second. Both target circulation and fine lines and wrinkles. Why not kill two birds with one stone, right?

I just recently started using Benefits Erase Paste and I think I'm in love! That with foundation over it, can't even tell I have dark circles! I recently got a sample of Benefits Boi-ing too that I plan on trying soon.

You should go to ULTA and have them apply Napoleon's "The One". Used correctly...it's miraculous IMO and you need but a teeny bit. Also GossMakeupArtist has some YouTube videos addressing dark circles that are informative and helpful. The issue may be in application. Also...elevate your head a bit more at night and perhaps give Sephora's depuffing eye mask a try. It soothes and brightens! Lastly...Physicians formula came out with a product addressing this..and it works pretty darn well. The packaging is purple.

If you use the Bobbi brown corrector and concealer you have to hold your eye taught when applying and after that IMMEDIATELY apply a translucent setting powder preferably MAC prep and prime or makeup forever whit HD powder and that will solve your creasing!

YSL Touche' Eclat is the best product I've found that covers my super dark circles and doesn't settle into my wrinkles/creases. Lasts all day. Is awesome as a concealer and highliter. I've tried everything on the market too...dermablend, lumi, smashbox etc. If I could only have one product for the rest of my life that would be the one for sure!

I mean most concealed are made to do all those things, but it all depends on you. Everyone's skin is different. Obviously starting with the root problem help, more sleep, more water, night cream etc. makeup can only do so much. I would perhaps look into new skin care first.
Then with makeup, use a good primer then look for a concealer that is compatible (silicon based, water based). For dark circles your usually trying to correct blue tones, so look for one that is peach toned. I have heard great things about Benefit's and Lancome's undereye concealer.
I know it's not a fun thing to deal with, but if you can start at the root problem you will probably be happier with the results that makeup gives you!! :)

I have the same problem you have. I've actually realized that my circles get darker as I get older (and I'm only 23, yikes) I've found that all things Fashion Fair work pretty well. Its the best product I've tried thus far.
