It's not going to feel good, but it's also not going to be as bad as you think. The anesthesia won't wear off before you can get some pain meds in you. Just be very careful to follow the aftercare instructions; dry sockets really suck!

Make sure you have lots of gooey foods you can drink/slurp that aren't too hot or too cold! Also be prepared to look like a chipmunk! You'll be fine!:) my friend couldn't take pills either and her doctor have her some that she crushed up and ate with a spoonful of chocolate pudding. Talk to your dentist about the pill thing if you are really nervous about it.

Don't worry about pill swallowing, I was scared of it too but it is really easy! My friend ate loads of ice cream and said it really helped keep the pain away. Be brave my dear 😊😘🙏💕

They cut mine out and drilled into pieces as well. I didn't feel anything!! And they were talking about recipes while they were operating, lol. Don't worry! I took a towel with me because the first time you get al drooly and for the blood.

Yesi, I had two wisdom teeth that were parcially impacted, and the other two were fine. I underwent the same thing for all 4. Everything went perfectly. Just know that you will be fine. focus on something that brings you joy. just get your attention away from tomorrow. :)

I agree with Darci. It won't be as bad as you're expecting! I was so worried but everything turned out much better than I anticipated. I didn't even need the pain meds that were subscribed to me. Follow the after care instructions and you'll be fine doll! It's just your nerves getting the best of you which is completely expected of the unknown. :)

I had all 4 of mine removed at one. They pumped me full of drugs during the surgery. I woke up 12 hours after surgery and didn't remember a thing. Your face is very swollen for the first 2 days but it'll go down with ice. It hurts to eat for a while and feels weird with the stitches (but they are dissolvable nbd) but you'll get used to it. I can't swallow pills either I just crushed them up in water. You won't even need them after a few days. Basically it's a pain in the ass for a week and then it's over.

I was terrified when I had mine out, mostly because I'm afraid of needles and I had to have an IV for the first time and I was about to throw up I was so anxious. But the tech was very understanding and nice and he draped my arm over the arm of the chair so it went numb so I couldn't feel it. I can't remember if any of mine were impacted but I think the top ones were. The bottom ones definitely weren't because they caused me so much pain before I got them out. I was actually prescribed vicodin before ever having them out because they hurt so much. It wasn't so bad after I had them out though. The worst was actually that the vicodin made me sick to my stomach for some reason. I got to miss a week of school though and that's always fun lol. It seems scary and causes anxiety but really it's not a big deal and it's over quickly. I had mine taken out while I was asleep so it was really quick lol.

Just ask for liquid vicoden. I got mine out a few years ago but vicoden took 100% of my pain away and made me sleepy. so basically the whole thing is like one big nap! lol and eat mashed potatoes, Apple sauce, yogurt, ice cream etc.

I had all 4 of mine impacted and needed to be cut out (not even 2 weeks of getting braces off). Surgery went well, I had shot nerves thinking about being put under. My mom brought a towel for the ride home as well as a trash can just in case anesthesia upset my stomach. There was excessive drooling in the beginning but I had ice cream pushed at me the whole recovery. Whatever you do, DON't try to suck through a straw, you could raise your chances of dry socket. You'll do great and keep pudding, applesauce and ice cream on stock.

I had 4 out, eat heaps before going in and drink a lot! Make sure you keep ice on your cheeks and keep relaxed! It honestly isnt that bad :) when the numbness goes away try soluable panadol but the pain isnt bad!
Try to advoid talking a lot and hot food

Ummm make sure you use mouth wash to ensure no food is stuck in the cut gum! It happened to me and my cheeks swelled up again so yeah use mouth wash after ever meal and use salt water it is amazing and helps heal faster and gets rid of the back germs!

But good luck and relax you don't feel anything

I had 4 impacted wisdom teeth removed when I was 17. It's nothing. I do recommend not talking at all afterwards like they suggest. I actually ripped my stitched, ingested a tin of blood and then projectile vomited all over the wall and carpet and left a lovely stain. It does hurt after it wears off but you will get a prescription for that. Discuss with the dr your inability to swallow pills and they may prescribe a liquid Vicodin or morphine. The only thing that is long term is the fun way in which food will get stuck in the sockets where your teeth use to be. Lol. Trust me girly, we have monthly periods, we are meant to pop watermelons out of a tangerine sized whole. This is nothing. A cake walk. I did have residual nausea for like a week but I think that Was to the pain meds. Have plenty of soup and other soft foods that don't require forks. Forks are foes. Lol. But other than that good luck girly. You'll do great!

I had all 4 of mine done at the same time. Just follow all the directions and get plenty of rest the few days afterwards. I held bags of frozen peas to my face. It 'molded' to my jawline and its not as awkward as the ice. You'll be fine. 😊

I was awake for mine and just had novacaine...and they were impacted. It was fine! It's blah after, but they give you pain meds. Usually docs give you something beforehand and you may not even remember it.

You'll be fine :) I had 3 removed and the dentist was really nice and helped calm me down. Remember to follow their advise and you'll be back to normal very soon. Thinking of you! Sending a big hug your way! :)

Got all 4 out last year, 2 of them were impacted. You'll be just fine! I sometimes forget I even got them out. Be patient with the healing 😊

I had a mouth surgery and I was scared too, I promise that even though it hurts a bit it will be completely fine!! Don't be scared cause if you are tense it only gets worse!

Well I had all four of my wisdom teeth pulled out at once and I was pregnant with my child when this happened. I was scared nit only for me but my baby. I'm not sugar coating anything it hurt big time. and if you don't take the pain meds for it you will suffer. I made that mistake and was in tears most of the time. I did take the meds but the times I did not it was terrible. I was told to use warm salt water to rinse my mouth after every time I ate also my diet for a while was cream potatoes. which suck considering I was eating for two. and it did worry me about taking meds for pain while pregnant but the pharmacist said it would not harm my child as long as I don't use the meds excessively. but it was still painful either way for me I stayed in the bed most of the time crying because it was so painful. wish you the best and your best bet is to have lots of cold liquids that did help numb some of the pain. also follow every instruction the Dr gives you. and don't try to eat solid food for a while.
