Aloe Vera is the best thing to help if your red and you feel it still burning. But if your just tan it will fade away in time, you should take advantage of the tan because there is so many summer looks you could pull off with it :-) the glow for summer is nice.

Yes I agree! Being tanned is a good thing! Especially for the summer. :)

Wow seriously? A tan isn't a good thing. It is your skin reacting to damage from ultraviolet radiation. It increases your risk for melanoma and other skin cancers significantly and causes premature aging. If you already have the sun exposure then do your best to moisturize and protect it from further damage. Otherwise, don't encourage people to bake themselves for a dangerous aesthetic ideal. Take it from someone who has had skin cancer twice and now has to have full-body MRI every month: it isn't worth it.
If you want to tan, use a fake tanner. They are much safer and have come a long way in recent years. Use SPF and protective clothing when going outside. Safe sun is healthy, tanning is not.

We know what the sun does, we're or lets say me are not encouraging going out all day and must Tan I'm simply saying it will fade and enjoy it for now and I believe as you may see some of the other girls are embracing there brown skintone in No way is this subject about baking in the sun.

Sunscreen also contains carcinogens so its careful to research before buying...in the meantime, if its a natural tan from sun, stay out of the sun ifmu want it to find, and moisturizer will heal your skin quickly.

If your anything like me and can't help the fact that you end up tanning whenever your outside no matter if your trying or not, then why not embrace it. I mean you can't do much about it and you can't just get rid of it. It just has to fade. Now if its a sun burn just buy a bottle of aloe Vera gel, it works pretty good.

Exactly, Alma. In this day and age everyone knows about the dangers of the sun, no need for the lecture that nobody needed, yet comes up ad nauseam whenever someone mentions tanning.

No one shouldn't find any fault with Emily W's statement. She fought skin cancer so obviously its a topic that is important to her. And not everyone is aware of skin cancer in relation to tanning because according to the doctors at the hospital where I volunteer ( Mayo Clinic) skin cancer rates are actually climbing instead of decreasing. Its pretty sad to see gals and guys in the chemo center for treatment that could've been avoided.
