Check out the acne.org regimen. I've been on it for 3 weeks and it has been sooo good to me. Even if you look it up on YouTube there are tons of success stories on there. It's worth a shot (:

I like the Neutrogena Rapid Clear skin care line. I've also tried L'Oreal 360 Acne Control wash with the micro-scrubber. You need to find a good cleanser, astringent (toner) and serum/moisturizer with SPF qualities for your daily regimen. Be prepared to try alternate products because after a while you skin can become used to a product. I hope this helps :)

Hi Gracie,

If by severe, you mean cystic; unfortunately the FDA has not yet approved any OTC (anything you can find at a drug store or Sephora) remedies. I suggest speaking with your physician or dermatologist who can lead you in the right direction. :)

Dermalogica's Clean Start range is pricey but works really well. Cetaphil is a more affordable option but because it doesn't have any salicylic Acid, it doesn't always dry out the spots enough.
Have you gotten any prescriptions from your doc? There are topical gels and pills that they can give you (no need to see a dermatologist unless all else fails.) I'm currently on Accutane and it works great; you have to be patient and prepared to deal with the side effects, but it's worth it. (But this should be your last resort, if none of the other prescriptions work!)

Good luck :)
