A recent post by fellow beauty lush member Kayleen V. Asked for a submission of a makeup look from you guys in which she would critique. I thought, "what an awesome, fun idea!" Credit goes to her for the cool idea :)
I am a full blown makeup and beauty geek/obsessor and would LOVE to do the
same. I am an aspiring makeup artist and am chock full of innovative and informative tips and tricks. Send me a clear, head on, picture of yourself with a makeup look which you like and that represents what you typically do in your makeup routine. Ill provide informative advice for each submission and tell you what I think! Keep in mind, I will never be rude. I simply just love everything about makeup and would get much joy in offering any advice that may help you in the future :)

Hey Anne W! Thanks for your post :)
My critique:
Firstly, your skin looks amazing!! literally glowing. As well, your brows look awesome and suit your face perfectly. One great tip I can offer to you is the use of a white or nude liner incorporated in your look. Recently I started using a nude liner in my bottom water line and it's amazing how much it opens up your eyes and makes them appear larger.
I can not tell what color your eyeshadow is exactly but I think a plum color would look marvelous on you with your eye color and skin tone.
A good friend of mine has eyes similar to you. What I recommended to her and you...

Is this: apply a highlight color in the inner corners of the eyes and bring the shade in a little further than usual (like a little bit before half way on the lid). Then apply a medium shade on the remaining part of the lid. Bring this medium shade up into the crease and blend. Then apply the dark shade with a fine pencil brush a smudge above your natural crease line. Blend, blend blend! Finally, I think the color you used as your brow highlight is perfect! The key here is to create an illusion of a fuller lid and put less emphasis on the prominent area under your brows.
The only other thing I can I think of to add is that a bit of contouring with a matte bronzer or darker foundation shade can go a long way! I found this this picture is perfect in terms of being a guide for contouring per face shape. Thanks again and stay beautiful! :)

Alondra P,
Thanks for the post! You have great features :) since the picture is a tad dark it is hard for me to decipher which shades and colors you used but I will work with it! :p
Your lips are amazing! So I want to help you bring them out even more. I recommend applying a concealer shade which is slightly lighter than your usual shades and applying it right above the Cupid's bow on your top lip as well as a dap in the center of the bottom lip (be sure to blend this In well with what ever lip color you are using ) the use of highlighting in these areas really emphasizes your lips! As well, I think that a golden shadow and a taupe color would look great on you with your skin tone and eye color. Makeup is all about using the right shades and applying it in the right places to emphasize your best features! Hope I was helpful and stay beautiful :)
