I'd just return it and get something else. I too hate the smell of fake roses so I won't even touch the stuff (same goes for fake cherry and chocolate scents...bleck). If you're looking for a really intense lip treatment I would try Philosophy's Kiss Me Tonight. It's available on their website and its my favorite. It's very moisturizing and has a light vanilla/minty smell. My boyfriend says it smells a little like white chocolate at times too. Or try out Jack Black lip balm at Sephora.

You could use it over regular lotion on dry heels, elbows, cuticles etc, or to remove eyemakeup.

I use products that don't have a nice smell when I have a stuffy nose so I can't smell it.
