Ugh I can't believe some of the ignorant things on here! Drugstore makeup isn't always horrid, and high end makeup isn't always amazing. High end makeup doesn't always last either, and drug store makeup doesn't always run out quickly!

DM, I haven't read an ignorant comment on here! Most are "I mix", or comments made from experience, no one is saying always and never.

The question was "in your OPINION, and yes, I said opinion, which do you like better"

I don't think it matters you can get perfectly good makeup at drugstores I get my favorite mascara at Cvs so...

Also packaging. I know packaging has little to do with the actual product but I do love makeup that looks good on my counter. Maybe that's shallow but I like things that look pretty

Adriana, no, that's not what I'm saying. I saw some comments that said high end makeup last longer (see the comparassion to clothes). Hope that cleared things up xo.
And yes, I can read.. thank you..

I guess I see what you mean, but it was asking if there was anything wrong with drug store makeup and saying that something doesn't last long is trying to pass if off as a fact (ya know?)

I like both when picking make up I look at is reviews not at whether or not its a drugstore product although that said there is some stuff out there that is way too expensive.

There's nothing wrong with drugstore makeup! My collection includes both high end products and drug store products. Many drug store products contain the same ingredients as more expensive products and get the same job done if not better.

I have both too, but I used to think there was no difference whereas I now think that often if you're willing to shell out a little more in the beginning for high end makeup it will end up lasting so long that it works out cheaper- for example I was using drugstore liquid eyeliner for a while, and would pay around $8 for eyeliner that would last for a couple months. Now I get Lorac liquid eyeliner pens and they last much much longer even though they're more expensive, and I ended up paying less for the amount I got out of it, and the excellent quality. A lot of makeup had been like this in my experience. But it's true you can often overpay for makeup that isn't worth the price. I like to go in the middle and buy makeup that is high end in sale!

I like both. There are some high-end products that are crap, and there are some drugstore products that are amazing (basically high-end quality). I do a lot of research into what I buy before I purchase anything, whether it be drugstore or high-end, so I don't often feel like I'm wasting makeup. I find that generally, for super pigmented products I need to go high end. Note: I'm saying generally. There are some drugstore products that are super pigmented (Nyx blushes come to mind), but generally pigmentation decreases when you get to the lower-end. I haven't found any drugstore eyeshadows that I like as much as my UD or theBalm eyeshadows, because the high-end ones are just much more pigmented. However, I like my L'Oreal mascara and liquid liner more than most high-end mascaras and liquid liners I've tried.

Drugstore is perfectly amazing! I'm right there with you! I'm most high end things, its the name you pay for and not so much the performance!

I only have drugstore makeup. honestly I want some high-end makeup but honestly not every one has $ to spend on makeup. I'm happy with drugstore makeup love it.

I can only afford drugstore makeup too, and where I live, that's all I can get ahold of. I see nothing at all wrong with it.

Both have their good qualities and bad. Most drugstore products can work just as good if not better than the high end products.

One of my friends use drug store makeup. I see nothing wrong with it because she looks phenomenal in it. I've worn it myself, & I see nothing wrong with it. it still provides the same effect as brand makeups. I agree w/ Taylor J.

Ionly know one person who buys super expensive make up - my bff who's parents are rich and she's only 15 so yh , everyone else drugstore.

Honestly, I think both are great! It just comes down to what works for you and helps you achieve who you want to be through your makeup. It's about what gets the job done for you. <3.

Just use whatever you feel best using. If you like how it sits on your face then you're fine. As long as you don't get allergies or what not. I live in a country where the drugstore brands you guys have are pretty pricey as well and I buy them thinking that they're still great and they are if it works for you.

I have faces from high end to low end, indie and big brands. Some cheaper makeup is way better than high end and same goes if you flip that too. I personally have had the disposable income from time to time to get whatever I want to use and review so I have tried a lot and find stuff I love and gate at every level of cost.
