Hello fellow beautys! I am so ready to change my hair color but let's be honest, I'm kind of a lazy girl when it comes down to my hair. I really would appreciate some suggestions, my hair is thick, I'm a dark brunette. I have never bleached my hair but I'm willing to, I've only dyed it once with a dark maroon color. I'll share a pic! please help.

You can do a color block and leave the bulk of your hair your current color, adding only a "block" of color for boldness. I'm not a fan of streaks myself, so I dig the edge blocking gives me without having to commit to one color. You could do peekaboos, using the color beneath your top layer of hair, which you can play up or down with styling or keep it to a section your bangs. (that's what I prefer for myself, but you there are many ways to block color) I love your new cut on you!

Is that pizza?  lol

Blue based dyes hold better than red based as they tend to have smaller molecular size and thus bind more efficiently to the hair shaft. If that helps you at all when selecting a color.

A light caramel color would look awesome.

I think a soft burgundy would look nice. I don't know how much maintenance is required however.

The color block idea sounds really cool lol never actually thought of that! I once did what you call a "balayage" with that red I was talking about, still somewhat there..
