Good Amount Of Eyeshadows To Have.

Hey guys!!

so I loovvee eyeshadows and palletes and I always want to get a new pallete but I also want to keep my makeup collection at a decent sized so enough that I'm happy but not too big. I have 2 high end eye shadow palletes now and 2 drugstore ones 1 I might give away and I really want to get another one but I don't want to go overboard with palletes.

so the question is... how many palletes do you think is a good amount to have for someone who just likes makeup and wants to keep it at a decent size.
I'm not a MUA or anything and I don't plan on being one. I'm just your average makeup lover :)

I amt think its a matter of how many palettes you should have more of a vatiety of the shades you like and use often for example you can make your own palette and put in it all the shades you like and use and it be good enough you get me??

I think it's a matter of being comfortable with what you have. I'm also just your average makeup lover but I happen to have a really excessive amount of eyeshadow because it's my favorite product.

So in your case, I'd say that it would be best to just consider any eyeshadow purchases carefully before you make them. think about if you already have the colors, if you would use this palette more/less than any that you already have, if you really truly need it versus just liking it.

It really depends on how many looks you usually like to do. For example, I'm not that adventurous. No wild colors for me, basically warm neutrals and a little bit of burgundies and plums (I have brown eyes) So, I guess I could be comfortable with 3 medium size palettes although I have much more than 3. But for someone who like many types of looks and likes to experiment, I would say 3 to 5 medium size palettes. Although, you could get away with less palettes, if you choose larger palettes. 1-2 for basic looks and 2-3 for a wide variety of looks. Of course it is possible to get one large palette if you find the right one. Or you can buy individual shadows and make your own palette.

I stick to 2 palettes, but I recommend customizing a palette! At Ulta you can make a palette with any colors you want for $40, it includes the empty pallet and 6 eyeshadows of your choice. Also, you can go on to Morphe's website and customize and large pallet that is magnetic and hold the shadows (anywhere from 4-40). Customizing helps get rid of the same shadows you have in several pallets, or some colors that you dislike. You can make one big palette with all your favorite shades.
