I fell for the Veer video. Thankfully I only paid $12 per bottle. Even that was a waste. I have melasma and am constantly searching for that "perfect" foundation that'll cover and last. Veer not only doesn't last (less than 6 hours, and I looked awful), but it also doesn't cover! I did THREE coats of the foundation and could still see my melasma and moles through it. I figured it must be watered down compared to what they use in their video. Then I decided to do an experiment. I put three Sharpie marks on the back of my hand and put a coat of Veer foundation on it. I could still see the marks. Put a second coat on, and could still see the marks. I put a third extremely heavy coat on the third time (more than anyone would ever wear in public), and finally, I couldn't see through it. Then I applied pressure with a makeup brush -- like what the girl in the video seems to do -- and lo and behold, the Sharpie marks had disappeared! I used a tissue to remove the foundation, and the pen marks were gone! So in the video, it's NOT that the Veer foundation covers the Sharpie. It's that it dissolves the Sharpie! For me, the best foundations I've found so far for real coverage are Estee Lauder Double Coverage (waterproof, lasts all day, and covers well -- but not available in a light enough shade for me) and Kat Von D (lasts all day and covers well). Steer clear of Veer!! :-)

I've been curious about the Veer liquid foundation and if it really works like the videos I've seen? In the videos, they draw on their faces with a sharpie and it covers it all up completely. Anyone know if this is the case?

I'd literally never heard of this foundation before now! I've just watched a few YT videos on it and there's very little coverage on the product apart from on their own YT channel (a few other videos but not many). Their website is a little odd too. The visitor posts (pictured) on their FB page aren't very satisfactory (these are the only two), and I've found no more. There's a few YT comments on videos on their channel that state that people haven't got their product but have been charged, they've waited months or had no confirmation or shipping numbers yet money has been taken out. Their product seems very expensive for how little it is known. The whole coverage thing with their foundation seems a little dubious, some people are able to get the coverage stated whilst others haven't. If you wanted to take the risk, it'd be a good new product to try but make sure you weigh up all the risks before ordering.

Diane,
Have you tried Marc Jacobs foundation "Re (Marc) able? I believe the shade I got is Ivory, and there is one lighter!
FULL COVERAGE, long wearing. I love it. I have to check out Kat Von D, I hear it's great full coverage too.

Ashley, I bought Veer foundation last month after seeing a video. I was hesitant as I have Rosacea that makes my skin extremely sensitive. I break out in horrible red rashes with most facial products. For years I was using Clinique foundation but it never really covered the redness in my face. I have to say that Veer is all that they promise. It is silky smooth and the coverage is amazing. It has always been my belief that if you use a brush you would waste product (back in the 80's this was true - I'm 50 years old). All my life I used my hand to put my foundation on. I did buy the brush that they recommend and I only pump the product twice, instead of the recommended 3 times. Figured I'd go all in. I was, and am, simply amazed. I did research comments as to color because it has always been very difficult for me to match color to my reddish skin tone. The feedback was to buy a color darker than you normally would as everyone stated the colors were very fair. I ordered the medium beige and it not only covered all the red in my face but it matched my skin tone perfectly. I NEVER get lucky on anything but I feel I hit the jack pot on this product. If you're thinking I work for them the answer is no LOL. I'm in Real Estate. I just wanted to give VEER the recognition it deserves. I don't know if Diane M (above) used the product with the brush or not but I'm sure that would make a difference. To cover my Rosacea with one application and look natural is just so incredible to me. So I hope this has helped you. Oh it also covers any discoloration you may have under your eyes. Truly evens out your entire face. BTW it lasts all day long until I wash it off with bar soap and water.

I bought the foundation back in April. I ordered only one bottle so I could see if I liked it. I love the foundation. I definitely need more than the video reccomended but it's great foundation and the best color match I have ever found. BUUUUUUT the company is a bunch of crooks. Their website says "no subscriptions, no rebills' and that is a bold faced lie. I DID NOT sign up for a subscription and they keep charging me every month. For two months now I have called to cancel and get a refund for products they didn't even send to me. They will not cancel it and I got charged again TODAY. So today I contacted my bank and reported them for fraud. DO NOT purchase from this company. It is NOT worth the foundation. It's not that amazing.

I've not tried Veer, but I am always excited to try a new product. I use Cover FX Custom Cover Drops (which is available at Sephora and from their own website). It's **the** best makeup I have ever found for my light complexion and melasma combination skin. The directed use is to drip as many or as few drops of this concentrated liquid via it's built in eye dropper into a bit of your own moisturizer, cc cream or sunscreen, etc., and apply. This allows you to create your own foundation -- literally -- and customize it to your needs daily (because lets face it, no two skin days are ever alike!) Its an extremely flexible product and the best I've ever tried. Personally, I like to use it straight up. It's fabulous this way. In its most concentrated form I get the matte look I like and maximum coverage where my melasma and hyper pigmentation is darkest. I simply drop a few little dabs of the Custom Cover Drops onto a small foundation brush with the eye dropper, buff it on, and my whole face is covered for the entire day. And, trust me, a little dab will do ya, it's that concentrated! If needed I go back over my face with a stipple technique where the melasma spots are darkest. Done. My skin looks even, almost airbrushed. I don't even need setting powder when I use it full strength, which is nice, and it still lasts and lasts. As far as performance: It covers, it lasts, it blends, it isn't cakey or heavy, it doesn't get into fine lines, it doesn't melt off during the day, and if I accidentally sleep in it there is no trace on my pillow. Best of all, alas, it hides my melasma. Hallelujah. It's a little pricey ($44 at Sephora) but one little concentrated bottle of this makeup can last me 3 to 5 months. I need so little at a time. The eye dropper technique keeps the makeup inside clean and free from contaminates, which is ideal. It's a nice product, and very unique, and I'm glad I stumbled upon it. I recommend it to any one with hyper pigmentation issues. I'm Italian but my skin tone is very light neutral and the color I use is N25. Cover FX offers many shades and coordinating products, too, you won't have difficulty finding one that works.
