Dear Diane M, I use Cover FX Custom Cover Drops (which is available at Sephora and from their own website). It's **the** best makeup I have ever found for my light complexion and melasma combination skin. The directed use is to drip as many or as few drops of this concentrated liquid via it's built in eye dropper into a bit of your own moisturizer, cc cream or sunscreen, etc., and apply. This allows you to create your own foundation -- literally -- and customize it to your needs daily (because lets face it, no two skin days are ever alike!) Its an extremely flexible product and the best I've ever tried. Personally, I like to use it straight up. It's fabulous this way. In its most concentrated form I get the matte look I like and maximum coverage where my melasma and hyper pigmentation is darkest. I simply drop a few little dabs of the Custom Cover Drops onto a small foundation brush with the eye dropper, buff it on, and my whole face is covered for the entire day. And, trust me, a little dab will do ya, it's that concentrated! If needed I go back over my face with a stipple technique where the melasma spots are darkest. Done. My skin looks even, almost airbrushed. I don't even need setting powder when I use it full strength, which is nice, and it still lasts and lasts. As far as performance: It covers, it lasts, it blends, it isn't cakey or heavy, it doesn't get into fine lines, it doesn't melt off during the day, and if I accidentally sleep in it there is no trace on my pillow. Best of all, alas, it hides my melasma. Hallelujah. It's a little pricey ($44 at Sephora) but one little concentrated bottle of this makeup can last me 3 to 5 months. I need so little at a time. The eye dropper technique keeps the makeup inside clean and free from contaminates, which is ideal. It's a nice product, and very unique, and I'm glad I stumbled upon it. I recommend it to any one with hyper pigmentation issues. I'm Italian but my skin tone is very light neutral and the color I use is N25. Cover FX offers many shades and coordinating products, too, you won't have difficulty finding one that works.

I read your post on the veer cosmetic foundation and saw that you have melasma. I too have it really bad. Started after my first child. I wanted to tell you to try Dermablend Camo liquid foundation. It is no more expensive than other popular brands at makeup stores and it is literally the only kind that covers my Melasma. I also use the setting powder translucent and it stays on all day! They also have a cover cream foundation but the liquid camo is a little lighter texture and doesn't look as heavy as the cover cream
