Can you get a tan from a tanning bed in 2 weeks?

I am going to a wedding April 1st and am strongly considering purchasing a tanning membership somewhere local. I am really pale right now but in the summer I tan naturally in the sun fairly quick to an Olive shade. If I start using a tanning bed tomorrow, a few times a week, would it be possible to be tan by April?

You can get results in one session. I sincerely hope however that you will consider spray tan instead, for your health and your skin's health.

I agree with Leuca, spray tan is the safe way. Please be careful with your skin, there's nothing worse than skin cancer.

I went to a wedding in September and I got a spray tan the day before. It looked so beautiful!! My mom got one too (see picture) I highly recommend it. I think I still have a picture... I say go for spray!

I have gotten sprays in the past and loved it but the fading stages were gross looking even though I bathed with a salon cleanser. It came off in patches. That wouldn't really be a big deal any random week, but the week after the wedding is my spring break and I don't want my skin to look splotchy in my swimsuit all week. Plus I will be doing a lot of outside stuff and won't be inside to gently upkeep it. :( I would totally do a spray if it weren't spring break!! But yes y'all do look BEAUTIFUL in that pic😍😍

You will be hard pressed to find any skincare junkie who'll go anywhere near a tanning bed, and there's good reason for that.

If you really tan that easily, then wear a moderate SPF and let the sun do the rest while you're outside. It's still not great, but better than the damage a tanning bed wreaks upon your skin.

To say what's already been said, definitely avoid the tanning bed!

But if you go the spray tan route, you can get a gradual self tanner that will let you fix any blotchiness, though I've never seen that unless it's suuuuuper tan compared to your skin. Or you can just use a self tanner but since it's gradual you may not get the results you want in time, since you can only do one application a day.

Hey! I know what you mean about the patches stage but if you fake tan in levels aka putting one coat on then waiting for it to dry then applying another then your tan is less likely to fade unevenly!

Lots of sincere concern for your health. I will say that if you start a good, quality gradual tan right away, you have lots of time before the 1st to get a bronze glow, which would be insanely easy to maintain while on spring break and won't get patchy...especially considering you'll be spending plenty of time outdoors.

Breeze, you look beautiful.
I do think that you can get a killer tan from Loving Tan, Jergens Mousse or St. Tropez Tan Express. There's plenty of youtube info on all three of those.

As long as you don't use a body scrub AFTER applying the self-tanning products, you aren't going to get patches. You'll simply need to apply moisturizer daily to keep skin from flaking..and that's the same with sprays, so it's a nice option to consider.
