Who else is super excited about Mac coming to ULTA I am seeing as in my town we only have a ULTA so I order online from sephora and Mac all the time cannot wait to search stuff in person no more endless searches on Pinterest or online for swatches lol yesssssssss.

I'm beyond excited!! I was extremely surprised when I read the news. I think it's a smart move for Mac. I'm hoping we will be able to use the 20% off coupon on Mac items. I wonder if LE collections will also be sold at Ulta? I hope so. I'm glad that Ulta is starting to carry more brands like Nars, Bh cosmetics, La girl etc. I love their rewards system so I always try to do my shopping at Ulta. I think its May 17th that you'll be able to start shopping online. (:

To simply say MAC tests on animals ignores the nuances of the situation. They still sell in China, this is true, but ironically China doesn't necessarily test all foreign cosmetics. Well established formulas from well known brands ( the Lauder family ) actually have a good chance of not getting tested upon import.
The Lauder family of brands is actively working with foreign government bodies to change legislation regarding animal testing. They're the biggest company to really be trying to affect change overseas; they would have no weight over there if they simply withdrew from the market.

Another point re: animal testing: every ingredient in any cosmetic or medical product has been tested on animals at some point before being released to market. Animals are used because the researchers have complete control over the animals' genomes, and can eliminate extraneous factors to get meaningful results from testing. It is unfortunate that we have to breed so many animals specifically for this purpose, but the alternative is no advancements in cosmetics or pharmaceuticals, which in the grander scheme is much worse.

I don't knock people who are into only using brands that protect our wildlife I respect that but I guess I'm just so vain it's a struggle I love Mac and in my city we have no sephora only ULTA and no Mac so I order a lot of the site but there are so many products I want but have to search 1st so this is huge for me I know Mac isn't for everyone but I'm a Mac kinda girl the products I do order are tried and true for me and I adore them in obsessed with their eye shadows yes their are a million different eye shadows from different brands and some say Mac shadows just arnt that great for them but for me they are like a dream my Mac shadows always come thru with blendability stay power and color payoff I do love other brands to but Mac is my favorite

Oh and in my ULTA they started carrying bars just a little display they have the orgasm blush and 2 other products hoping they get more cuz I want to try out their concealer I have a problem lol but I think that's why we're all apart of this app right because we love makeup so it's a safe place to say hi I'm Danica and I am a makeup addict lol.

I've never tried MAC, but that's because it is expensive and the sales people at my local store are super rude. I would be much more willing to try their products now that they are going to be available at Ulta!

I won't purchase MAC until they stop testing on animals. They had a dip in sales, that's why they are selling product in Ulta now.
