Today I'm doing another look for my rainbow series! Just in case you missed my first post, I'll be doing a look with a color that represents awareness for a certain disease, medical issue, etc. Today's color is orange for self injury awareness, which I think is self explanatory. When I was in middle and high school being scene/emo was the trend and I found that self injury was part of the trend but now as an adult I can see why self injury is a serious issue that needs to be addressed and not swept under the rug.

I went out of the box/unwearable with this look simply because I wanted to, lol.

Face:
-Urban Decay Optical Illusion Primer
-Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation in 5
-NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer in Custard
-Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Powder
-Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer
-Kevyn Aucoin The Sculpting Powder in Medium
-Too Faced Love Flush Blush in I Will Always Love You
-Lorac Pro Metal Palette (Amber)

Brows:
-Benefit Ka-Brow in 3
-NYX Control Freak Brow Gel

Eyes:
-NARS Pro Prime Eyeshadow Primer
-Anastasia Modern Renaissance Palette (Burnt Orange, Realgar)
-Smashbox Cover Shot Ablaze Palette (Torch, Moccasin)
-Urban Decay Electric Palette (Slowburn)
-NYX Retractable Liner in Black
-MAC Fascinating Eye Kohl
-Too Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara

Lips:
-Kat Von D Studded Kiss Lipstick in Halo

I applied my primer to my skin with my fingers. I applied and blended my foundation with the Sigma F80. I applied my concealer under my eyes with the Luxie Concealer Brush and blended with the Beauty Blender Micro Mini. I set under my eyes with the RT Setting Brush and the rest of my face with the Danielle Powder Brush. I applied my bronzer to my forehead and cheeks with the Bdellium Tools 955. I contoured my cheekbones with the Luxie Large Angled Brush. I applied my blush to my cheeks with the Danielle Blush Brush. I applied Amber to the tops of my cheekbones, down the nose, and the Cupid's bow with the RT Fan Brush.

I filled in my brows with the pomade and set them with the gel.

I applied my eye primer and blended from lash line to brow with my finger. I applied Burnt Orange in and above the crease with the Bdellium Tools 781. I applied Slowburn to the lid with the RT Base Shadow Brush. I applied Realgar to the outer corner with the Bdellium Tools 769, blended through the crease with the Danielle Blending Brush, and on the lower lash line with a MAC 219. I applied Torch to the inner half of the lid with the RT Base Shadow Brush. I applied Moccasin to the brow bone and inner corner with the Bdellium Tools 765. I applied black liner to my tight line, white liner to my waterline, and one coat of mascara to my bottom lashes and two on the top.

I applied my lip color from the tube.

I love this! The orange works really well with your eye colour and your contour and highlight is gorgeous :) I'll be doing an orange look soon, probably next week! Loving this series.

It's pretty orange haha, but it still looks gorgeous! and yes, there needs to be more awareness brought to self injury.

I love the lip colour! It suits you.
And again, the creativity in this series is amazing. I like how you took some serious illnesses and turned it into something creative to help people become more aware of these problems, and even create their own interpretation!

Anna, thank you!

Rhiannon, thank you! Definitely an issue that needs more awareness so I felt it was important to include it in this series

Jess, thank you! Raising awareness was my main goal so having others create their own interpretations is a great bonus (:

I really like the series that you are doing since they go beyond the "flawless, pretty look". I didn't know about the existence and meaning of an orange ribbon, thanks for sharing this!

And I disagree with you, I think it's totally wearable haha I think warm colors suit you skin tone much better :)

Keep posting about awareness

Lara, thank you! I think I just isn't find it wearable since I don't wear straight orange shades all that often, lol.

Taylor, thank you!
