Hi everyone! For prom I bought a white lace dress, and I was so in love with it. However, my friends kept on telling me that the dress looked too weddingish but I have no way of returning the dress. What can I do to make the dress look less weddings? What can I do with my hair and makeup? Thank you!

I would leave your hair down with a middle or side part with big bouncy curls. also wear a coloured clutch... I think any colour would look nice.

I would pick a bright colour that you could have in a bag, shoes, eyeshadow or lipstick to try and brighten up the look to make it look less weddingish but I really do love your dress! Hope this helps:) ♡

Pair it with a neon color. I would do neon pink shoes and accessories.

To me that doesn't look like a wedding dress, it's a little blingier. I love white prom dresses though! I think a bright and bold lip color would give it some more edge. And you can always do bright flowers/corsage:)

Gorgeous dress! I would say do a curly side pony tail, with a bold lip and neon clutch and shoes. I'm picturing you with a bold pink lip and neon yellow clutch and shoes!

I think the lace is what sends it into bridal territory. Adding color in your accessories and other textures as well (perhaps a colored shawl/wrap in a different fabric?) will help bring it away from looking like a wedding dress.

Going more dramatic with makeup can also help, since most bridal looks tend to emphasize natural and neutral qualities.
