How do you guys do to preserve colored hair when ypu go to the gym? If I wash my hair after every time (4 times a week) the color fades in no time... but to not wash my hair after a workout seems weird to me.
what's your trick about that?

Loads of dry shampoo! I go to the gym 4-5 times a week as well so for me washing my hair every time is completely out of the question! I braid my hair doing the work out because my hair is so long it gets tangled if its just in a ponytail and after the workout I use a lot of dry shampoo, and I like to use one with scent to it so it makes my hair smell fresh as well!

I generally use a dry shampoo in between washes. You should try a few before settling on one. I usually use a blowdryer to get the product on evenly.

I agree with the girls, dry shampoo is a really good idea.
However, if it's that feeling of sweat in your roots that you don't like (which I find can't be removed with ds), rinse your hair with cold water only. I find this really refreshes my hair and removes sweat, without me having to shampoo and condition it. Cold water is better for coloured hair too

I agree with these ladies and I also suggest wearing a bandana... for me, it catches a lot of the sweat@

Great idea for the dry shampoo! I have a bottle but it leaves a white cast on my dark brown hair :( I haven't found one that doesn't do that yet... I keep searching! braiding my hair is also a good idea! I'll try that!

Batiste dry shampoo has never left a white cast on my brunette hair. I haven't tried it, but I know they also do a version for dark hair, I guess the product will be more brown rather than white. Also a thorough brushing out and quick blow drying should help avoid the white cast :)

I agree with the ladies above. A couple my fave dry shampoos that don't leave a white residue are: Living Proof Perfect Hair Day and R&co death valley, you can try them out inside a Sephora to see if you like them. The living proof one has been my go to for in between shampoos for about a year now, I really love it.

Trying them at sephora is a great idea! I also read good things about the Pantene one, anyone tried it?

I have the Pantene one. I'm blonde, but I've never noticed a white cast. I agree with Traci; I think the Living Proof is the best of the bunch, myself.

Genevieve, I really like the Batiste dry shampoo for dark hair... it is brown so I never have a white cast and it's always cheaper at Winners lol.

I have struggled with this too. With trying to retrain my hair from fading my color and going to the gym a few times a week it's getting complicated lol. But my favorite dry shampoo is the Marc Anthony one. In the white bottle with pink on it. It's the only one I've found that doesn't leave a white residue or a dark residue on my scalp that isn't super pricey. It's like 6$ Canadian and lasts me usually two months of 3-4 times a week

I agree with the Batiste brand. I used to have black hair and I used the dark hair one and it didn't leave a white cast. and even if it does leave a little I think that brushing through it would probably solve the issue.
