Hey girls. So my hair is superrrr dry and my scalp is dry, itchy, and flaky. I'm looking to switch to a sulfate free hair routine. Not trying to spend so much money though so what are yall thoughts on SheaMoisture products? Has anyone tried them? I read really good reviews just want more opinions.

Don't remember the exact names of the products but I loved their line, really added moisture to my hair without weighing it down

Sulfate free won't solve your problem if you're shampooing too often to begin with. There's really only one sulfate you need to worry about anyway: sodium lauryl sulfate.

The others function very similarly to other surfactants.

Vanessa I love sheamoisture products! I have fine hair but a lot of it, so I end up lightly shampooing every day. I loved their coconut and hibiscus line but eventually got tired of the scent, but just recently I saw their new shampoo and conditioner called "African water mint and ginger"--I tried the conditioner and I love it! It's made my hair a lot softer and stronger too. I want to try the shampoo next. I recommend it.

Kate, where did you find those products you were talking about? I have very fine hair too and I would love to try that.

Kathryn, I found the mint one at meijers, I think target may have it too! Target always carries a lot of the sheamoisture line.
