Soo my under eye area isnt a problem. It's not to dark or baggy, but I'm looking for a new concealer/corrector and I don't know whether I should buy one a few shades lighter to brighten that area as well as my chin, etc.or if I should buy one as close to my skin color as possible to do some spot concealing and hide any scars/ marks instead of using a foundation!
should I buy both or just one?
also, I'm torn between the maybelline fit me concealer and the catrice camouflage cream. I've heard really good reviews about both of them and would like to know opinions if anyone as tried them :)

I often use maybelline. Do you want a regular concealer or a colour one? If you want one to reduce redness I would go for a green one. If you use a highlighter you can do you chin and head in that. I'd buy yourself just a regular concealer for scars and things however I do still recommend like a tinted moisturizer with that so its not too obvious with your concealer. Anyway good luck, I hope it's been useful, I'd go for a shade similar to yours if you do go with concealer. :)

The best concealers I have ever used:
1. Bye bye under eye by it cosmetics
2. Naked by urban decay
3. Fit me by maybelline

And I heard good reviews about the make up for ever hd one.

And the best corrector is by bobbi brown

I think getting a skin-matching concealer and then brightening with a designated highlighter would be a good option! The thing about concealer is, it tends to be so thick that it can be unflattering to use it where it's not necessarily needed for concealing, so a separate highlighter meant for brightening would be worth considering, but that's just my opinion. I think swapping foundation for strategically placed concealer is a great idea! I switched to tinted moisturizer and concealer from foundation and I could not be happier, my skin looks so much more like real skin and not a cakey mask. I used to use fit me, and it was pretty good. It never really caked on me, however, I was less than impressed with the coverage on my redness. I haven't tried the catrice one. I've been loving Hard Candy Glamoflauge, I apply the tiniest little bit of it and it has great coverage.

Kayla E., thank you.. I've been doing equal parts of foundation and moisturizer recently, but I must admit it still makes me feel not 'as natural' when I apply it in the morning. and I'm really applying foundation when I only need to cover some spots on my cheek (on natural looks), so why not trying to spot conceal them as well as the under eye? its just a way to give our skin a break :)

Lately I've been using Maybelline master conceal in the tube for my dark circles and discoloring around my eyes and then I use Maybelline fit me to highlight and brighten.

I haven't used any of those concealers. Usually people use a different concealer for under their eyes than on their face. An undereye concealer is usually a little moisterizing and either the same shade as your skintone to 1 shade lighter depending on your level of darkness and brightening preference. A drier concealer is better for the face and it should be exactly the same shade as your face. These are general guidelines and you can tweak them to suit your individual needs and preferences.

I use It's Bye Bye Concealer under my eyes (moisturizing and luminous/great coverage) and MAC Longwear Concealer for spots (skin matching/great coverage). As Marleen said, a dryer concealer is better for facial spots/areas.
